22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dog rinse station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. So many cool little trails, a creek with fresh flowing water to drink from and if you look closely, there a little trinkets hanging from trees, attached to branches and sitting on stumps. Shawna is an amazing host! From the moment of booking, we had very clear instructions on how to find the property, where to park, where to go, where the boundaries are, and where everything is. The videos and the map provided help us navigate the property. It was a wonderful experience for us humans. As for our dog Akela… I’ll let the photos do the talking. 😂 Shawna’s property is very well kept, lots to explore with short trails and a small creek. There are also many small surprises everywhere, sculptures, statues, and even a chandelier! It’s like a treasure hunt. We love it that it has an open area and some woodland with trees and shrubs. It’s perfect for dogs to sniff and play. Even though its unfenced there are enough natural barriers around to keep the dogs safe. As long as your dog has good recalls you don’t have to worry about them running into danger. It’s so kind of Shawna to open her amazing property for city dogs like ours to have a place to safely roam free. All of us came home so happy and tired (the dog!)
