55It’s easy to find if you read the info provided. I took my 1 dog to scope the place out and discovered that it would be an awesome place for him and a friend or two to visit again in the future. As mentioned, no fences so keep that in mind. There’s a beach, trails and open areas!

55This spot is perfect for letting dogs explore and jump in the water. It’s closed off enough that I didn’t feel like I needed to worry about my dog running somewhere she shouldn’t. I would suggest having good verbal control over your dog as there are some water areas that I didn’t want her getting into and there is a road close enough that you really don’t want your dog sprinting in that direction. Excellent place for dogs to run, play in the water, chase the ball, etc. Looks like there was a lot of damage from Helene, but it’s been cleaned up pretty well. I imagine that it was a gorgeous spot before Mother Nature rearranged it. Please pay attention to David’s advice about the directions: Applemaps won’t get you there.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
