Peaceful mini-retreat with field & woods

Fully Fenced
20 acres

22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles during/after heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. Outdoor hose on site, bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

Kimberly's Partially Fenced acreage In Abbotsford

Partially Fenced
86 acres

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Give your dog wide open space to run and play here on a large acreage right in town. Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

Bird Watching and Tail Wagging at the Beaver Pond

21 acres

Please Note: 11/25/22- I’ve decided to open up the calendar for a bit to allow reservations with greater ease, but I do still ask that you message first in case someone related to our forest cleanup project is on-site. 10/1/22- At this time the property could be potentially available for your use, however, we are preparing for the forest cleanup project that we’ve been working towards with the DNR for over a year. If you are interested in visiting here, please message and if it works out I’ll be happy to accommodate you. 07/01/22- Important: The Sniffspot platform does not allow hosts the option to approve or cancel reservations, as such I have blocked my calendar to more easily control reservations. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

55Wow, this place is really special! This was my first time visiting and Grace has thought of everything. My pup and I had a blast exploring this big, beautiful property. Just make sure to wear boots you can get muddy and bring a towel in case your dog decides to check out the creek. We both enjoyed the special treat that the host left for us at the end.

55The best of all SniffSpots! Grace was so kind and welcoming and there’s everything you could possibly need, even an outhouse. Our wirehaired pointing griffon had the best time sniffing and hunting around this beautiful property. He is leash reactive and we loved that the property is fully and securely fenced so we could trust that he was secure and no one else would be joining us. We could hear a dog or two in the distance and there are chickens across the creek (behind a fence - maybe two fences even) but otherwise you’re pretty much on your own. It was a lovely experience and we can’t wait to come back.

55Dog and Human both loved it here! We booked two hours, during which time Dog did some happy zoomies, chased sticks, and climbed partway up a tree in a vain attempt to catch some critter in the branches. Human was just along for the ride and to serve as the stick-thrower. We made sure to save some time for playing in the creek at the end of our hike. Grace, the host, couldn't have been nicer. It's a great spot!

55Wonderful place to let dogs be dogs! Lots of great smells and places to explore. Everyone enjoyed cooling off in the creek, after a good run. Can't wait to visit again!

55What an amazing Sniffspot! Lots and lots of free space for the pups to sniff and play. Property is so nicely maintained and bonus that it is all fenced in. Host was amazing and super nice. We will definitely be back. They do have goats but our pups could care less ( we however loved them!) Nice private retreat for the doggies. Thanks for having us!

55Grace has sculptured a beautiful sniffspot on her land. It's like having a private camp with trails, clearings, large enough for my 2 dobermans to romp, chase, and wrestle, then run on the wide groomed trails. The trails were hilly so I got some exercise. And the sniffspot was fenced: what a bonus. The entry before crossing the water borders some goats, horses, etc. Eventhough this is enclosed and part of the sniffspot, if you have a dog that doesn't have a great recall off fenced farm animals, you will want to keep that leash on until you get on the trails on the other side of the river. We had a great time exploring, hiking, and playing hide and seek. Grace was awesome and we look forward to a return. Wear your hiking boots.

55This was my first SniffSpot and it exceeded my expectations! It's rare to find a spot available that is fenced in. I was able to let my dog run freely without concern. He loved the stream running through it and I enjoyed the mini trails throughout. It is very clean and the host was exceptionally nice. My dog has some fear aggression with new people and she handled it great! We will 1000% be coming back and we're already planning our next stay while there. An hour is plenty of time to go through it all, but I would book two next time.

55This was an amazing first experience with sniff spot. I don’t trust my dogs off leash with other dogs around, so a private spot was perfect. It felt like we were out in the forest for our own private hike, which we were! The dogs and I had a blast. The host was friendly and gave us privacy. I’ll be back ASAP!

55I had wanted to visit this spot since it popped up and it didn't disappoint! Grace messaged me shortly before the visit to let me know there were workers at the house which thankfully would not have been a problem for my dog but it could have been for others so I appreciated the heads up. When we arrived she happily greeted us and let me know how to access the off leash area of the property. It was like our own private hiking area, complete with enough hills to give me and my pup a workout. There are benches spaced around the area to relax a bit too. I highly recommend booking for more than an hour to take advantage of the whole space. Things to note: solid footwear is recommended. Unless you stick to the front of the area, you're in the woods. It's not overgrown or anything, but you'll want to cover your feet. Also, you're in the country. While we were there we heard what were either gun shots or fireworks. I prepare for this by making sure I have plenty of treats and something to play fetch with to distract my dog. None of this is to suggest you shouldn't go, I would definitely make the hour drive to visit again. Thanks for sharing your land, Grace!

55It was a relaxing easy hike with several winding paths among tall old pine trees. It was shaded and cool. especially next to the stream that runs through it. There is a separate fenced area with goats and a horse, which gave our city dog a nice sniffing experience. It was a pleasure for us to walk through the beautiful and quiet mini forest.   Grace was a very accommodating host and her communication was excellent. Thanks-- we will be back!

55My pups had a great time exploring! Great space and we will definitely be back! Host was very responsive and goats/horse were contained in a separate area. For those with reactive dogs, you do need to walk past the animals, but once over the bridge, pups were free to explore.  No human or dog interaction during our visit.  If you have a small escape artist, you might need to keep an eye out.  Overall, awesome spot!  Loved the mini forest!

FAQ about our Pitt Meadows dog hiking trails

Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How can I find dog hiking trails in Pitt Meadows?
There are 7 dog hiking trails in the Pitt Meadows area. The most popular dog hiking trail is 40 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Surrey. You can browse all of our dog hiking trails here.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Pitt Meadows area range from $10.0 and $20.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Happy Dog Forest - 40 Private Acres of Fun on Goshen Road. The most expensive dog hiking trail is 110 Acre Private Tree Farm and Forest- 10 min east of Bellingham. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
