22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dogwash station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. For Pack (more than 3) Pricing, message us for a bigger discount. In the wet season, there is mud at a few low spots on the back trail. Please consider wearing boots for now.

Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

If you are interested in visiting here, please message and if it works out I’ll be happy to accommodate you. 07/01/22- Important: The Sniffspot platform does not allow hosts the option to approve or cancel reservations, as such I have blocked my calendar to more easily control reservations. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

A total gem!! My dogs had a blast, a little water to romp in, and so spacious! Goats and chickens can be seen and heard but just at the front/entrance area and they are behind fencing. Will be back for sure!

Wow! Best. Sniffspot. Ever. The property is wonderful, with a stream, woods and grassy places to play. My dog Teddy absolutely LOVED it! He ran & explored to his heart's content, then waded through the water to cool off & get a drink. Besides the Spot being incredible, Grace, the host, was even more incredible! She greeted us and was very kind & accommodating, offering use of any of the supplies (poop bags, sanitizer, toys, etc.). There was even a colorful hand-written note welcoming us by name! Grace left a little dog bone for Teddy & a chocolate for me in a bag hanging from my car's door handle. A sweet surprise & the nicest way to end a terrific visit. I signed up for Membership during a rest on our mini-forest hike; we definitely want to come back. (That was even before the chocolate :)

We love this spot! It’s so fun to explore the forest and the trails. The pups always have a great time. My pups are escape artists, so I keep them on long lines and we haven’t had a problem with them running off here. It’s very private and beautiful! Just be aware that sometimes you can hear dogs, chickens, or kids from the neighboring property. Love this spot and we will be back lots!

This place was amazing! The property is gorgeous. It’s a great place to train a new dog offleash because there’s a lot of distracting smells. My dog was extremely interested in the goats (they are safely in their own enclosure) so we had some trouble staying focused but it’s great practice! Thank you Gracie.

This was our 2nd time here and we had a fun day. The dogs went even further back into the forest this time but with the fence all around we didn't have to worry. Don't forget to wear food shoes because there is definitely a lot of space to explore. Can't wait to come back!

A beautiful and peaceful spot! We loved strolling around exploring the trails and seeing our newly adopted dog run safely off leash and try out wading in the creek. She really enjoyed the freedom and so did we, knowing we had the place to ourselves. There were lots of places to sit for a picnic and even an outhouse. We'll stay longer next time!

Our dogs had a blast! It is a great hilly property with lots to explore. Paths crisscross the wooded acreage. Plenty of shade and sunny spots, plus benches for the humans to rest at. The dogs loved the creek too. I’m glad we brought a towel. We did occasionally hear a dog barking way in the distance, but since the dogs couldn’t see anything, there was no reactivity. The terrain could be considered a bit challenging if you aren’t wearing the right shoes, but there are paths to take that are easier to navigate. We will be back!

This was one of the best Sniffspots I've been to! What a treat! Grace was such a kind and welcoming host and her land is like a private woodland oasis. You could spend all day here, so I'd recommend booking more than an hour to really enjoy it. Plenty of spots to sit and so many trails to explore we were finding new side trails to wander throughout the whole visit. Definitely take the advice to wear hiking shoes or similar as it's rocky and woodsy - there's also some steep sections where a good tread helps. But my pups had an absolute BLAST - they normally get tired / bored after about an hour, but they were still going strong when it was time to go home. The creek is perfect for a little dip if it's hot and there's plenty of open areas for fetching or chasing too. The only caution I would say is you may encounter a bit of livestock poo, so if your pup likes to roll in such disgusting delights (like mine...), come prepared lol. Can't recommend Grace's place highly enough though - we will definitely be making the long drive from West Seattle again. :)

What a fabulous Sniffspot!!! Doogie, Thomas and I had such a great time here! It's a wonderful forest with old growth stumps that new trees have grown out of, a nice creek and numerous trails to wander. It is nicely maintained. My boys got to meet their first goats and a horse (they are in an adjoining pasture) and thought that was pretty cool. The goats came right up to the fence to say hi. Doogie is a new rescue (in our family for 2 months), so I can't let him hike in open spaces off-leash yet, and I am keeping him on his longline for a few more outings, but this wonderful, forested place with numerous trail options gives me the chance to safely test out how he's doing and give him freedom. He is doing so good, that hopefully he can be off the longline on our next visit. Grace, the owner, is very nice! There was a welcome sign and poop bags for us to use. Since it was our first time, she welcomed us, pointed out where to go and checked in with us as we were leaving to make sure we had a good time. I only wish we lived closer, but if we were headed to the mountains for a hike, we would have had to drive further, so that's ok. We will definitely be back!!

Great experience! Grace is as nice as can be. The property is well cared for and provided a lot of opportunity for our dogs to run and get worn out. Be prepared to hike up some steep inclines in order to utilize the entire property (this ended up being a great walk for us as well!). Will definitely be going back! Oh, and though we don't think this will be the case at all times, our pups did need a bath after their visit (in the best way possible). :)

This place is heaven! Rogue had so much fun on his birthday adventure. Running, sniffing, playing ball and swimming. He is worn out! It’s an hour drive from West Seattle. Book for two hours and bring a lunch. So worth it.

This is arguably the best Sniffspot we’ve been to yet! Beautiful property with well maintained trails that loop around and let you feel like you could get lost but with the safety of knowing you won’t. Property line is very visible via fencing and we loved switching between swimming in the creek to running through tall grass to exploring through the overgrowth. Grace was an amazing host, we will definitely be back!

We had a great time in the mini forest. Our two dogs loved running around and even went in the water. Tons of space and was some good exercise for the dogs and us! We loved this sniff spot! Lots of trails to go on, and the dogs loved the creek to cool off and chase frogs. One of our dogs is pretty reactive but we had no issues, as the area is secure and private. Grace came out to meet us and was welcoming and helped guide us to where to go. It’s a beautiful piece of property and was very relaxing. Some areas are more wooded and there are some open grassy fields too.

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
