No neighbours to hassle you while making all the noise you want. Grass may be tall or short when you arrive. Trails cut around the perimeter and through the forest to get to the pond. Guests are able to explore the whole property, but please stay to the forest and field areas. We realize sometimes dogs get excited and will venture out of those areas, so dont sweat it. As long as they are having fun, just call them back and continue on your way. We do suggest bringing some bug spray/mosquito repellent.

With plenty of room to run, explore, and play, this spot is ideal for dogs who need a bit of space to stretch their legs. The area is mostly grassy, with a few shady spots and gentle hills, providing a calm environment away from busy streets. Fresh water and shaded seating are available for both you and your dog to relax and enjoy your time here. Whether your dog wants to run around or simply explore at their own pace, Golden Root Acres is a great place to let them be themselves in a safe, quiet setting. Please park anywhere in the driveway and enjoy your visit!

Located in "the first resort up north", charming vacation town. Small homestead, young growing family with lots of backyard space to share! There is about 10 yards of wooded area and .75 acre of open meadow. We only have a cat and he stays indoors. We would love to offer your doggo some space for frolicking. A small front section of the back is fenced in. Friendly neighbors and safe space for all. Stop by on your way to the tip of the thumb 😊👍🏼

Because it’s an American based company, all guests will be charged in USD. The property is very long and narrow, with a small hill at the very back. It’s a great spot for playing fetch, or if your pooch has the zoomies. My neighbour has trees along the North side of the fence, creating a lot of shade for your furbabies. Theres a picnic table available for you to use, and also a small bistro set off to the side by the gate that you’re welcomed to sit at too. Help yourself to the dog toys that are available in the purple bin, as well as the pile of sticks for fetch. I’ve recently added a tennis ball pool (you could also toss kibble in there), and some agility equipment - an all seasons commercial fibreglass tunnel, and a big wooden spool with a wooden bench to walk along. Feel free to bring some kibble to toss in the new pool noodle pool! It’s a great enrichment activity for dog(s)- trying to search for the kibble through the pool noodle pieces. There’s also drinking water for your dog(s), and a small garbage bin provided for any waste. We have Silkie chickens that stay in their fenced in area on the South side of the property. If you feel the chickens would be too distracting for your dog(s), please let me know and I can try and get them into the coop during your stay. Free wifi available ~ the password will be given when you book your visit. My goal is to have my setup better and better each time you come, so I welcome your feedback and suggestions! Also there is a tap near the gate that you can fill your dogs bowl incase your dog/dogs get thirsty. We have provided a tote full of toys and balls that your dog/dogs can play with. Plus the backyard has lots of different things that will be exciting for your dog/dogs to experience. There is an extra that you can select when booking your time slot called treats and if you select that extra then we will hide treats for your arrival! Lots of street parking near our house and the bag hanging on our tree is for any poop bags you may have. If you have any questions please let us know!

We have our space available in case you need a place to train your puppy, just need a place to stop in on your way up north to stretch your pups legs and get something to drink and use the bathroom as well. This is also a good place to teach young pups socialization with other animals if you want to. We will have a huge bonfire going weather permitting and by request if you want to use our place to gather and hang out for a little bit. We are located near the Almont Smokehouse so there's good shopping as well as good eats close by.
