Our favorite Sniffspot! I recommend this spot to all of my dog friends. Friendly host that is quick to communicate and accommodate. Tyler came out and greeted us on our way in and warned us about the gate sticking a little bit and some neighbor's dogs that might bark (they did but the neighbors brought them inside). There was fresh water, a bucket of toys, poop bags, and plenty of room to sniff and run around. This is a great off-leash option in the Portland area!

Our senior dog is reactive and doesn’t get the opportunity to go off leash very often. So seeing her run through and sniff the leafs was so much fun to see. Most of the fence line blocks the surrounding view. You could hear some neighborhood barking in the background, but it was a distance enough to use as a training opportunity. As Louise was tiring out towards the and, a large dog appeared to start running on the other side of the adjacent fence line in the section that had more visibility. We decided to wrap up our session a little early. We weren’t worried about Louise escaping, but a smaller dog or escape artist might be able sneak out with some of open clearance underneath the fence or hiding under the porch.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
