General Rules: Amplified sound (including drums, loud speakers/radios/instruments) is prohibited. Beer and wine are allowed in the designated picnic areas only. Fish may be caught and released, but should not be eaten. This lake contains fish and sediment that may be contaminated with mercury, which may be harmful if ingested by humans. Fishing licenses must be displayed at all times. No damaging or collecting flowers, plants, trees, or other vegetation. Weapons, guns, including air guns, paintball guns, or any dangerous instruments are not allowed in this park. Skating is allowed only on paved sidewalks and pathways. Skateboarding, roller skating, or inline skating on park structures, furniture or hard courts is prohibited. Littering/unauthorized dumping or dumping of residential garbage is not allowed. It is unlawful to damage, deface, vandalize or otherwise alter City park property. Air jumper with City-approved vendor is permitted only at Quicksilver and Arroyo picnic areas upon approval by Parks Division office. Party/Costume characters are not allowed to collect money on City property. Smoking is not allowed in City of San José Parks. All San José Municipal Codes and State laws apply.

Welcome to our little farm! It's never perfect and always a work in progress, but I think your dogs will have a blast in our large backyard with lots to explore and smell! Please note: we actively work on thistle and foxtails abatement on the property (it's a neverending battle 😩) you might find some that we missed. Send me a message and let me know where you see it! We have three kids and a menagerie- 99% of the time, we're in survival mode 😂 Your dog will love the large backyard with the hill that's perfect for loping up and down and sniffing all the exciting smells that come with country living- so many gophers, birds, and even deer make their appearance from time to time. We have goats, a black sheep, chickens and ducks in the pasture that backs up to the fenced yard, so your dog will get a lot of new experiences. You can relax on our deck while your dog explores. We just finished a daybed swing which is super comfortable and shaded under the wisteria vine in the spring and summer🩷 We have a sweet and docile Great Pyrenees named Bosco who is basically a saint and is nearly perfect. And then we have Rocco 🤣 We adopted Rocco, and he's an adored menace 🩷 He has destroyed all our screens and water fountain pumps, along with the regular chewing of toys and shoes. We are trying to keep up with him, but it's been a challenge. You might find some stray pieces of *something* that we missed from his jaws of death. Both of our boys will be crated inside during your visit. We're on a well, so we don't water the lawn a ton in the summer to conserve water, so it can get a little dusty, but we do keep things mowed and trimmed. Our garden and yard is a work in progress- I'm currently focusing on adding drought tolerant native plants to work with my favorite blooms. I am dahlia crazy and have over 100 plants- the dahlia beds are corralled off and will be thrilling in the late summer and fall! There will be small changes in our retreat every time you visit (at least, that's my goal 😂) You might see piles of cardboard by my goat pen waiting to be used as a weed barrier under mulch. I promise it's not a pile of trash- it's all part of my master plan to not use herbicides and have an organic garden. 🌱🌏 We hope you and your dog loves our Sniffspot!

This is a private, undeveloped, forested spot. If you are interested in this spot, you and your dog should be up for a mini adventure. This spot is not a manicured, backyard park. It is wild and beautiful, and a rare find in this area. THERE IS NO TRASH SERVICE AT THIS FOREST LOCATION. PACK EVERYTHING OUT WITH YOU, INCLUDING DOG POOP BAGGIES. The trail starts at the west (downhill) end of the parking spot, and winds downhill to the creek (there are a couple of switchbacks). The trail from the parking area to the creek is less than 5 minutes long. At the bottom of the trail, is a deck. Beyond the deck is a year-round creek with a swimming hole. There are fish, frogs, newts, and crawdads. All wildlife is protected, so please don't catch or remove them. You may walk up and down along the creek exploring, as long as you turn around if you see a waterfall downstream or a house in the distance. The trail that leads downhill to the creek is intermediate, not for beginners or flip-flops. There should be no poison oak or ticks on the trail, but if you venture off the trail, you may encounter poison oak or ticks. There are blackberry bushes to the sides of the trail that resemble poison oak. There should be no foxtails. You may see wild animals. As a wild spot, you may encounter typical hazards that are present in most local forest trails, such as wildlife, water, and trip-and-fall hazards. This is a private spot, and there should be no other people or dogs during your booking. If you see someone during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can take steps to prevent them from trespassing again. There is no lighting at this spot, so if you book before sunrise or after sunset, please bring a headlamp or flashlight. There is no trash collection service at this location, so please pack out any trash. Thank you!

DOGS are permitted only in campsites and picnic areas and on paved roads and the Upper and Lower Escape Roads. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and attended at all times. At night they must be confined with their guardian inside a tent or vehicle. Except for service animals, dogs are not allowed in the visitor center or on hiking trails or dirt roads.

We are on 10 acres and would love to share our yard with you. Beautiful Mountain View’s amongst grape vines with gravel pathways. On the interior portion of the park is a dirtbike track with a more rugged terrain and incline walking. Definitely more weeds, but if you are looking for a more off road feeling this is another option aside from the full pathway around the perimeter of the dirtbike track. This time of year the grapevines are a beautiful with lots of beautiful green foliage. We do also have a cool off spot in the front of the house under a very large old pine tree with roses to smell while your dog has their belly on the cool green grass by their water bowl in the shade. Where your new morning or afternoon ritual begins. Please note: Pool is an ‘extra’ charge. You can add this item as an extra while adding this spot to your cart. Not included in base charge. PUP PARTIES 🎉🥳🎈🎁🐶🐾🎈🎁🎉 We are still new to SniffSpot but have been asked multiple times recently if we would host pup parties. This is something I have not yet put a price point on but can make this feasible as well. If you are interested in coordinating something, please message me and I can send you SniffSpot items available for parties. (i.e. BBQ, Tables, chairs, shaded areas, pool time. etc)

Our play park is located on a lovely equestrian property...we are fully fenced gated private home/facility. There are farm animals, the sounds of wild birds everywhere, we are friendly and love to say hi. This year we are working on adding all kids of fun things to our newly designated dog park.... come on and play :)

Lynn Rip Van Winkle Open Space is a dog-friendly area between Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. Above Asilomar State Beach, the park is open at all times. Dog poop bags are available and free in the parking lot.
