We have one full acre fully fenced with 4' high goat/sheep woven wire fencing. About 1/3 of it is open grassy field and the other 2/3 is nice shady woods. We in the process of over seeding the field to make the grass more lush this spring. We have added a few surprises down in the woods to make it more fun for our guests and their fur babies. There is an open lean-to where there are dog toys like frisbees and balls availble. There is also be a cute backdrop as a photo op for the dogs.

Welcome to Tell Tail Farm! A private 2 acre-fully fenced yard with horses and chickens coming in spring of 2025. We have an additional 3 acres of woods and a pond that is UNFENCED at the back of the property that is accessible through a gate that you are also welcome to explore. We get plenty of wild animals in our yard and have dogs of our own so there are PLENTY! Of smells for your pets to enjoy. When we get a lot of rain, a small pond forms in the back of the yard (pictured) but it’s not there in the extreme summer heat. I have a kiddy pool, water bowls and a hose outside that is usable in the spring, summer and fall. Toys, poop bags, chairs for humans, a nice patio to sit on, picnic table, and a fire pit patio with string lights all available for use! Hand sanitizer is also available and if it rains, we will open up the garage for a rain shelter with chairs! We do not use any pesticides or fertilizer on our property but will spray for ticks in the spring and summer. We cut the grass 1-2x per week but even more in the spring to keep the grass super short and our house sits on top of a hill for added exercise. Large rolling hay field with a beautiful tree line on 3 sides. Part of a working cattle farm with cows, horses, chickens, ducks, and goats. The field is cut twice a year, but there is 4 foot wide path around the parameter that is cut by a lawn mower regularly to maintain short grass perfect for walking, this is about a 1/4 mile around. The field is fenced, but the fence varies in escapability. The south side has wooden board fence, the west side (nearest the road) has woven wire, the north and east side have older barbed wire fencing reinforced with briar bushes (see photos). Our property sits 1200+ feet off of the main road and is a total of 28 acres. There are neighboring properties that are 50 acres and 80 acres so no close homes in most directions. We are located approximately 1 mile from West Branch State Park. The property has a clean swimming pond, a walkable forest area with some established trails that are currently covered with leaves. We are a working farm with about 8 acres of crops. There is a large 3 acre wheat field in the front great for ball throwing. The remaining non crop acres are walking paths with some cut grass and yard. We do not have any livestock but our neighbors have cows. There is a secure fence on one side of our property that keeps the cows in their pasture. They’ve never visited us! Neighboring properties are also farms with over 100 acres of open land, woods and crops surrounding our property with no main or visible roads. You can see houses on one side of the property and that’s where the cows live! They have dogs but they’ve never visited us. We do have 2 well behaved German Shorthaired Pointers named River and Remmy who run freely on the property. However we will keep them inside when guests use the property. We have a bench to sit on in a shaded area around the pond for relaxing. The woods are beautiful to walk about as well. There is a large rock in the woods to take a rest on with an amazing ravine creek view. Our property is large and not fenced so dogs with impeccable recall should enjoy the freedom to play, run, swim, sniff and explore. Leashed walks are also welcome. Long leads can also be used. Because we are so far off of any main roads you will feel comfortable here! Your pups are welcome to swim in the pond during your visit. During recent rains our property stays mainly dry and the woods are relatively dry as well as there are many leaves covering the ground. In the winter when the ground is frozen it’s a beautiful walk.

Our boys love going out to this sniff spot. Even my one that is afraid of the dark has a fun time after dark with the way they have the light up for them. My pup and I had an amazing time at Hickory Hollow dog park! The property is beautiful, and you can tell the owners really care about the visitors and their pups. The details that have gone into this place are amazing. There are toys, a fire pit, and a place for photo ops. There is even a memorial bridge. A great day at Hickory Hollow! Abby had so much fun running and playing on the paths and in the woods. She really enjoyed chasing after the new Jolly Ball that she found in the toy box! Hickory Hollow has so many interesting areas to sniff! Everything is there…toys, treats, a clean towel, photo opportunity decorated for fall, and owners on site! Humans can relax in chairs, placed throughout, if desired! Toys sat untouched because our dogs were too interested in sniffing! Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself.
