We have one full acre fully fenced with 4' high goat/sheep woven wire fencing. About 1/3 of it is open grassy field and the other 2/3 is nice shady woods. We in the process of over seeding the field to make the grass more lush this spring. We have added a few surprises down in the woods to make it more fun for our guests and their fur babies. There is an open lean-to where there are dog toys like frisbees and balls availble. There is also be a cute backdrop as a photo op for the dogs.

Sniffspot Welcome to Tell Tail Farm! A private 2 acre-fully fenced yard with horses and chickens coming home in spring of 2025. We have an additional 3 acres of woods and a pond that is UNFENCED at the back of the property that is accessible through a gate that you are also welcome to explore. We get plenty of wild animals in our yard and have dogs of our own so there are PLENTY! Of smells for your pets to enjoy. All humans and pets will stay inside for your visit unless requested otherwise. When we get a lot of rain, a small pond forms in the back of the yard (pictured) but it’s not there in the extreme summer heat. I have a kiddy pool, water bowls and a hose outside that is usable in the spring, summer and fall. Toys, poop bags, chairs for humans, a nice patio to sit on, picnic table, and a fire pit patio with string lights all available for use! Hand sanitizer is also available and if it rains, we will open up the garage for a rain shelter with chairs! We do not use any pesticides or fertilizer on our property but will spray for ticks in the spring and summer. We cut the grass 1-2x per week but even more in the spring to keep the grass super short and our house sits on top of a hill for added exercise. Trails throughout, 3 acre lake, fenced in 24 acres. So much to do and explore. This is a natural area including woods and lake. Recall is still important. A great spot for recall training. We check fence regularly the best we can and I run 4x4 each morning to try and move out any wildlife. However It is such a large space if your pup does not stick with you. There could be times during day when we may miss if a critter has dug out under fence or branch has fallen. You know your dog(s) so use your best judgement if you feel they will be safe. It really is such an awesome space, we have learned after buying it is actually an old sandstone rock quarry! You will see lots a rocks throughout trails. Please watch steps for rocks and roots on trails. We have a small farmyard with ducks, chickens and pigs. They are fenced in their own area. Main trail in woods comes out behind the farm. If you are unsure of how dogs will react please leash while passing to ensure safety of all. Like other Ohio dog parks, Akron Dog Park is not supervised or patrolled, it is vital that all visitors obey these rules and behave responsibly and courteously toward each other at all times. Thank you. Our Park Facilities Akron Dog Park is comprised of the parking lot, the fenced park areas and the service access road leading to and from the park gates. These rules apply to all park areas. • Akron Dog Park is for dogs and their humans only. No other animals may be brought in. • Hours are dawn until dusk daily all year.Observance of all posted rules, as well as applicable Ohio law and Akron’s ordinances, is essential to the safety and well-being of park visitors, both dogs and their humans. • Visitors to the park are responsible for keeping it clean. o Dog’s waste must be picked up by their handlers, properly bagged and deposited in the bins provided. Incidents at Akron Dog Park • Visitors involved in any incident involving injury to a person or dog should exchange accurate personal contact information (name, telephone numbers, etc.) and veterinary contacts. This place is top-notch. The host has thought of everything. It is a beautiful wooded area with a nice grassy area as well. Multiple purpose for all types of dogs and their favorite activities. It is safe, clean, and most of all, it is very welcoming. Easy access to the gate and parking with no extra walking. It is incredibly peaceful. Plenty of shade or sun. Our boys love going out to this sniff spot. Even my one that is afraid of the dark has a fun time after dark with the way they have the light up for them. My pup and I had an amazing time at Hickory Hollow dog park! The property is beautiful, and you can tell the owners really care about the visitors and their pups. The details that have gone into this place are amazing. There are toys, a fire pit, and a place for photo ops. There is even a memorial bridge. I met the owners upon arrival and was given homemade treats to hide. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

A great day at Hickory Hollow! Abby had so much fun running and playing on the paths and in the woods. She really enjoyed chasing after the new Jolly Ball that she found in the toy box! We really appreciate the homemade dog treats and fresh water that are provided. Abby even got a lovely fall bandana to wear! The owners of this property are so thoughtful and caring. It's a real pleasure to visit here!

Hickory Hollow has so many interesting areas to sniff! Everything is there…toys, treats, a clean towel, photo opportunity decorated for fall, and owners on site! Humans can relax in chairs, placed throughout, if desired! Toys sat untouched because our dogs were too interested in sniffing! Owner also has 3 “sniff spots” set up near trees where treats can be hidden. Inspiring quotes along the paths too! Birds chirping provides beautiful background “music!”
