The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Sniffin' Hours are: 8:30 am -5:00 pm every day of the week. You may reserve time up to 14 days in advance.

This was our first time visiting Jon's Sniffspot but it definitely won't be our last! What a great spot! Easy to find, clear instructions for accessing, everything exactly as described. The yard is huge and Seamus had a blast running around and smelling all the smells. Both Jon and the space were very welcoming and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Seamus has developed some sensory issues as a senior (it's tough losing your hearing and vision!) and doesn't always feel safe in new places. He settled in here right away and came home a tired and happy pup ☺️ We had a great time and look forward to visiting again!

My Dog Layla and I had a great time at Jon's Imperial sniff spot. It was easy to find and as I just had surgery it was great that I could just let her jump out and start exploring. AMAZING! Is how I best describe this location! My 21 month old standard poodle never runs out of energy but that wasn't the case here! There is plenty of room to run full out and the sniffing is excellent! He also found his favorite bush to scratch himself. Jon, the owner, gave us weather updates the day of the reservation so we wouldn't run into any weather surprises. And they were in time for cancelation if we so chose. We will definitely be back!
