55The best spot we have been to so far! My dog encountered a bunny in the woodpile right at the start of our visit and she was immediately in heaven. Lots of very hikeable forest area and a great big gorgeous meadow. I did not come across any body of water - maybe didn’t go the right direction, but it did not lessen the fun my dog and I had. I appreciated the receptacle for doggy refuse and the fresh drink water as well. Simply an awesome little trip- my pup gives 5 paws up! She didn’t even want to get back in the car after an exhausting hour of play and exploration-a first for her!Yvonne G.

55This is a beautiful spot! Our pups loved running through the trees and meadow and finding all the bones. We looked for the stream/pond but couldn’t find it. It may be dried up at this time of year or we just weren’t searching in the right spot. Regardless, it was a wonderful time. Thank you for hosting us!Sophia L.

55We've found our own slice of doggie heaven 😍. This spot is perfect, thank you to the owners for opening up a safe place for our dog to run and sniff! Long pants recommended for the grass. Our dog didn't want to leave and we don't blame him, he had the best time! Joanne M.

55We had a wonderful time again! We could hear some dogs barking in the distance this time when we first arrived but they were far enough away that it wasn't a big deal. We had a beautiful morning walk!Stephanie W.

55This spot is so wonderful! It has everything…meadow, aspens, wildflowers, pine forest, riparian areas, big ole’ rocks, some great climbs on either side of the meadow. My dog loved getting muddy in the small pond. I’d definitely recommend pants and sturdy shoes… lots of thistle in the grassy areas. You can really only see a small part of the property with an hour time slot… we’ll definitely be back.
Make sure to keep an eye on the clock… this SniffSpot is easy to get joyously lost in for hours.

55Had another wonderful time at this beautiful Sniffspot! So many wildflowers blooming. May have almost caught a chipmunk 😅 but enjoyed exploring the meadow, water hole, and wooded area.
We did hear dogs barking this time on our way back to the car - it looked like there is a fenced area above the path to the meadow where a couple dogs were barking. Startled us at first but saw that they were fenced in. Kelly O.

55Oh my goodness! The girls had a grand time exploring and plain old frolicking in the meadow! They enjoyed the shade by the wooded area and parkouring by the rocks! My hippo Hazel loved the dip in the pond followed by intense zoomies and both dogs “self-cleaned” by the time we walked back to the car. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!Susanna K.

55The best hidden gem! The small lake was a big hit and all the wildflowers make it a beautiful trip!
Be aware of occasional wildlife - saw two deer on our walk back to the car. My dogs were exhausted and completely unaware after having played for an hour.
Absolutely will be back! Meredith J.

55Your place is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed it as much as my dogs did!
The lesson I learned is do not forget your doggy poo bags in your car.
In all the excitement I left them, it is quite a walk back to the car to get them!
My boys loved this space. I felt safe. I felt they were safe too. I will certainly book this spot again.

55We had another nice time at this beautiful Sniffspot! Still a lot of wildflowers, and can’t wait for the aspens to change!
We did see either an elk or moose, at first near the water hole/pond (and then we moved away quickly) and saw two of them standing up in the woods. I was in panic mode when it was close and thought moose but they may have just been elk! Definitely be on the lookout and maybe keep a long line on just in case.
Also there is construction on pleasant park rd, so recommend avoiding using deer creek rd/pleasant park rd even if Google tells you its faster 🤦♀️ We had to stop for 10-15 min near the construction and were behind several large very slow construction vehicles on a good portion of the road so arrived late.

55We had a great time with our pups! We took the trail through the meadow. Our dogs enjoyed being off-leash and running through the open field. There are some large flat rocks near the tree line that made for a perfect place to sit and take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the nice weather. All of the signage and instructions are super easy to see and to follow. We will be back again! Paula B.

FAQ about our Conifer dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
How do I know if a dog hiking trail works for my dog?
Sniffspot provides the tools to find the ideal spot. Start by applying basic filters, such as fencing 6 feet tall and distractions, to find a dog park with trails that works for your dog. You can also filter by size if you are looking for a certain acre park, an expansive off-leash dog park. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our fully fenced dog hiking trails. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog hiking trails where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. Since you are looking for trails, make sure to check photos to see if it the spot has flat trails or gnarly trails. You can also browse by specific amenities, if you are looking for a view or a beach, for instance, or other activities or fun features. You can check whether the spot has off or on street parking, the regular park hours, whether it has paved trails or a modern restroom.
What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog hiking trail?
In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.
Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?
Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
How much do Sniffspot hiking trails cost?
Dog hiking trails in the Conifer area range from $4.0 and $4.0. The least expensive dog hiking trail is Ballard-Fenced-Yard-Near-Locks. The most expensive dog hiking trail is Ballard-Fenced-Yard-Near-Locks. Each host sets their own price, so you can check the price on the specific Sniffspot dog park listing.
