55This was our first time with sniffspot. Lyndsi was a wonderful host! Very knowledgeable and helpful with her insights. The space is perfect. The field at the top was a wonderful place for my pup to enjoy the toys and activities, and then it was great to see how he would do on trails with recall etc. It was perfect. We will return again! 55What a gem of a Sniff Spot! This is one of the biggest areas I have found locally that lets my dogs run freely while still fenced in. There's a small pond that they enjoyed cooling down in, and many little birds to sniff after in the bushes. Much of the foliage is blackberry bushes, but the paths were very clear and we had no issues with thorns (one of my dogs is especially talented at getting thorns stuck in his paws, and he had no problems here!) Both pups were tired after visiting here. Would definitely recommend for other high energy dogs!Maddie T.

55Great place for solo dog training, especially recall. Also great for doggy play dates. Plenty of room to run & sniff. Wear your rain boots during the wet season because the ground gets a little muddy in some places. Laura F.

55Lyndsi is a great host! The spot is amazing and has helpful signage. Huckleberry & I had so much fun walking/running the trails; we used the picnic table at the top of the hill as "home base." Some mud, so wear appropriate shoes if it has rained recently. We look forward to returning!Nicole K.

55This a really unique space. My dog has reactivity issues with other dogs so I haven't been able to take her hiking in public areas. It was such a treat for her to just go and explore off leash. The trails are a little bit muddy in certain spots right now, but not difficult to walk through as long as you're wearing the right kind of shoes. And there is some elevation change so it's a good healthy workout for both of us. There is a "watering hole" at the lowest point of the trail system shortly after you enter and she really enjoyed going back to that several times. The whole area is very clean and well-managed. There are clear signs for where to park, where to enter, which gate leads to the trails, etc. There is also a water bowl, fresh water, clean towels, poop bags and a waste bin all right inside the main entrance. We did see other people and dogs walking along the main road, which shares a fence line with the walking trails so that was just something to be aware of so that I could direct her away from that side of the property when I saw them. We didn't use the agility field, but there is equipment set up and plenty of room to exercise in that area as well. We will definitely be back to use this spot again.Corey C.

FAQ about our Damascus dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
