Where there is a 6 foot tall fence so that dogs are secure even in the winter with a few feet of snow on the ground. I just recently set this up as family friends recommended I try it, so please be patient as I improve things to make it more guest friendly. IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Hello and thanks for visiting our page. We are Paula and John. We own 95 acres of mostly forested land. About 65 acres is walkable and we have trails throughout. We are learning as we go, and hope to provide you and your dogs a fun day. If you have any question feel free to ask. And remember, we love dogs just as much as you do. There are a few important points we'd like you to consider. We like to meet our new guests for the first time. This gives us a chance to get to know you better and also put friendly faces to us, the hosts. We want you to feel welcome and know that we care about your dogs. We have several trails that split out to other trails. There will be signs to help you navigate through them, and some suggestions that will help you keep track of remaining time. In the colder months, running water will not be provided. We will also reserve the right to cancel the appointment if we get heavy snow squalls. Our plan is to keep the trails plowed, but in the event of a snow storm, it may take us a few days to get the trails plowed. In general, we will not be open past dusk, unless you specifically ask us and are aware of the risks of walking in the dark. I always walk my dogs on winter nights. Just carry some sort of flashlight. We currently have an electric gate that can only be opened by us at the gate, and not remotely. When a guest arrives, we will be there to open the gate for you, close it once you're in, and open it again upon your departure. Lastly a note about safety. Safety is important to us, but please note that you are entering nature. Our spot is home to many small animals, including porcupines. If your dogs are into porcupines, I would stay cautious of your pets entering the dense bush and recommend they stick to the trails instead. The probability of spotting a porcupine though is very low. Other animals will simply not bother human visitors and their dog companions. You may spot a deer or two if you're lucky that day. Deer are mostly friendly, but I would suggest keeping your distance if you spot a buck. However, they typically flee when they spot you. In all my years spotting buck, I've never seen one charge at anyone. Still, be safe. Although very rare, you many spot a coyote. Once again, they generally don't bother humans. If you spot one, keep your dogs close. Coyotes don't like confrontations with humans, so your dogs will be safe if by your side.

Imagine not worrying about roads and cars. Your pup is welcome here on or off leash. Our property features nice maintained and accessible flat trails and 30 acres of forest to enjoy. A nice private creek with a bench is also on the property, however proper hiking footwear is required to get to it as it is located down a steeper hill.

20+ acres, with approx 1500M - 2 KM of cleared trail for winter, and about 4KM of trail accessible when there is no snow Roam the pine/birch forest or stick to the groomed trails There is a small fenced area where you and your dogs can hang out, and, if there is advanced notice, a fire can be lit in the outdoor wood stove, to keep you warm while the dogs play. PLEASE FLICK FAR or PICK UP YOUR DOG'S EXCREMENT while roaming on the groomed trails. There is a green bin to drop it in on your way off the property. No one likes "stepping in it." The trails aren't fenced in, but they extend behind and/or beside the house and are situated away from the road.

Welcome to Beaverton's Dog Trails! Please access the trails from Concession 6. Punch these coordinates into Google Maps: 44.4415942, -79.1065234. There is a SniffSpot Sign at the entrance. You may park in the private driveway. Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. After a heavy rainfall you will want to wear your rubber boots. In the winter be aware of slipping on patches of ice. Trail Update (January 12): The river is now frozen. Always be cautious if you decide to cross it. Enjoy your visit! Lots of wildlife in the area including deer, raccoons, groundhogs, porcupine, skunk, wild turkey, fox, coyote, coy wolf, etc. so dogs must be on leashes while in the open areas.

As long and they obey to you calls. 50 acres of mostly bush with trails , a 3 acre field with old apples trees. Beautiful beach down the road. I'm a Registered Kennel with 4 Golden Retrievers on site. In their own fenced in area. Trails on my property are being cleared and mowed. There is also a lot more trails surrounding my property that is available for dog walks in nature. I'm 60, total animal lover and have had dogs all my life. There is a water tap outside and a bowl if needed. Water is from a spring fed well, no Chlorine.
