Big Dog's 1 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Shelton

Fully fenced, secure and private acre of doggy heaven located on a cul de sac. Large grass yard, mulch, and wooded area on each side of the yard will keep your dog busy sniffing and exploring. The ground is cleared in the wooded areas for fun running and walks. Large blue stone shaded patio that backs up to woods. The large in ground pool is securely covered with a safety cover. All people and pets will be inside during your visit for privacy. There are poop bags, a bowl of water and a basket of toys for you and your pup if you wish. Whether you want to sit in the shade or play in the sun, there are multiple seating areas. Driveway and Street parking with easy access to the spot. The pool will reopen on Memorial Day.

You can park right in our driveway and enter in through either gate, there is one on the side of the driveway and one at the back of the driveway. All people and pets will be inside during your visit for your privacy. There will be poop bags, a bowl of water, and a basket of toys for you and your pup to use if you wish. Canine Commons: a Tribute to Working Dogs

DOG PARK RULES • All dogs must be licensed, have a valid Town of Bedford permit, current with all inoculations, healthy and wearing a collar with identification at all times – Contact the Bedford Town Clerk for licensing and permitting information (914-666-4534). Any dog using the park without proper license/permit will be issued a fine and future access to the facility will be prohibited • Dogs must be leashed upon entering/exiting the enclosures – Owners must be in the enclosure keeping their dog in view and in voice control, with leashes in their possession, at all times – Leaving dogs unattended is prohibited • Eating/smoking/picnicking is not permitted in the enclosures at any time OWNERS MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR DOGS AND DISPOSE WASTE IN THE RECEPTACLES PROVIDED • Dogs exhibiting aggression are not permitted – Owners must remove their dog • Dogs must be discouraged from digging – Owners must fill any holes their dog digs • Dogs must be discouraged from excessive/constant barking – Owners must control or remove their dog • Dogs who are ill, injured or in heat, as well as puppies under 4 months old, are all prohibited • Limit is 3 dogs per person per visit • The dog park is not recommended for children – Children age 12 and under must be supervised • Be cautious with dog toys, some don’t like to share • The use of Dog treats as a snack or reward is NOT permitted within the fenced areas of the park Non-compliance with these rules will result in expulsion from the Dog Park. SYCAMORE DOG PARK RULES 1. Hours of Operation: 8 a.m. to SUNSET. 2. PROHIBITED: Puppies under 4 months old, female dogs in heat, and unaltered males over 8 months. 3. Dogs must be licensed and have current and visible vaccination and ID tags. 4. Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the park. In the park, the dog must be unleashed and the owner in possession of the leash at all times. 5. Dogs must be under voice control and within view of owner at all times. 6. Owners should allow only MINIMAL barking. Dogs barking excessively must be removed from the park. 7. Choke, prong, pinch, spike collars and dog clothing is prohibited due to potential injury to playing dogs and owners trying to separate them. 8. Dogs over 30 pounds are prohibited in the small dog area. 9. No children unless accompanied by an adult who must CLOSELY SUPERVISE them (within arms distance). Children should not run, scream, pick up and wave sticks or approach dogs they do not know. 10. Limit of 3 dogs per adult! 11. AGGRESSIVE DOGS PROHIBITED. Dogs showing signs of aggression to other dogs or owners (i.e. growling, baring teeth, raised hackles, flicking tail, or a fearful body posture) should be removed immediately. 12. NO FOOD of any kind or glass containers are permitted! 13. Dog feces MUST be picked up. SEAL waste in the provided bags before disposing into designated receptacles. 14. NO DIGGING. Holes must be filled by the owner. 15. ENTER THE PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. Owners are responsible for their dog’s safety, behavior and injuries caused to other dogs or owners. Prevent injuries by SUPERVISING your dog CLOSELY and by OBSERVING the body language of other dogs in the park. 16. Owners complying with the rules have the right to “educate” owners not complying. Come spend quality time with you and your dog(s) that is fully fenced. Little dog approved (I have a 17lb, 13.75" tall small dog who liked to escape but can't anymore! I also have a 30lb beagle mix. We have several amenities for humans and dogs! The best amenity is the sectioned off agility yard! You may rent this portion of the yard as an extra. The agility portion of the yard is sectioned off is 90’x90’, includes all the all rubberized max200 contacts (dog walk, a frame, teeter), max200 channel 12 poles, two tunnels, table (rubberized Max200), tire (max200) and lots of various jumps!! I also have 2x2s available! Practice whatever you need to get your next QQ! {Rules,"• Large Dog Park is designated for dogs over 25 Lbs. • Small Dog Park is designated for dogs under 25 Lbs. • Owners are legally and financially responsible for their own pets. • All Dogs must be licensed, up to date with vaccinations, and healthy. • All dogs using park MUST have a paid annual membership with the Town of Beekman Recreation Department. • To enter Dog Park, owners must have Photo ID on their person • To enter Dog Park, the dog must have on its collar, the current year’s Dog Park Membership Dog Tag • Members should only open the gate for themselves and their dog, not for anyone else, and not for any other dogs. • Dog Park is open weather and conditions permitting. • All dogs must be leashed upon entering and exiting the Dog Park and be off the leash while Inside the Dog Park. • Dogs must be leashed while outside the Dog Park but still in Doherty Park. • Owners must remain with their dogs at all times. • Owners will carry a leash for their dog at all times. • The Dog Park is open dawn to dusk when weather and environmental conditions are suitable. • The Town reserves the right to close the Dog Park due to any reason including, but not limited to, the weather, the road conditions, and large events. • When closed, a notice will be posted on the internet and an email blast will be sent to members. • In addition: when the gate to Doherty Park is closed, the Dog Park is closed. • Dogs are not permitted on sports fields at any time including when Dog Park is closed. • Only dog waste should be placed in the dog waste basket; all other trash should be placed in the larger pail outside the gates. • Owners may bring up to two dogs per adult into Dog Park, if adult can maintain control over both dogs. • Owners must supervise and are responsible for their dogs and any injuries or damage caused by them. • Owners must fill in any holes dug by their dogs prior to leaving the Dog Park. • Owners will clean up after their dogs. • No puppies under 6 months allowed. • No dogs in heat allowed. • No food, drinks or dog treats allowed in Dog Park. • No children under 18 are allowed in the Dog Park without adult supervision. • No aggressive dogs are permitted in the Dog Park. • If dogs get into an altercations, before leaving owners must exchange information including: • Dogs’ names and Dog Park Membership tag numbers • Adult first and last names, phone numbers and addresses • This information should be emailed to: recdirector@townofbeekmanny.us • Altercations may result in suspension of membership. • Anyone found to be violating rules will have their membership revoked.
