Over the patio are Oak trees that offer shade and the occasional squirrel. Environment: there is road noise and an occasional person walking the road. While we are fully fenced, the escape artist could find an opportunity in the back and front left corners. Our neighbors have a quiet dog who is out for short periods around 3-5pm. Enjoy our secluded dog pasture located on a dead end in Beaverdam. As you enter the gravel driveway, you will see designated parking alongside a shaded shed. Just a short walk away is the entrance to a fully fenced doggie pasture. In warmer months, the (4) chairs and a table will have an umbrella available for some shade. We also will have a shade sail for the pups use as well as a garden hose and drinking bowl (for the dogs only preferred). There are covered dog shelters so your pooch can have some shade. Users of the dog park do so at their own risk. Hanover County shall not be liable for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the dog park. The dog park is for dogs, their owners, and those accompanying them. No other use is allowed. No animals other than dogs are permitted. All dogs must be licensed and vaccinated for rabies. Dogs should wear a visible dog license and rabies tag. Dogs under (4) four months of age and female dogs in heat are not allowed in the park. Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the dog park. Dogs must be under the control of their owner and in view of their owner at all times. Children under (16) sixteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult. It is recommended that children under (5) five years of age not enter the dog park. Each owner is limited to a maximum of two dogs. Owners must pick up and dispose of their dog’s waste and fill any holes dug by dogs under their control. Food, treats, alcohol and the use of tobacco are prohibited. Dogs must be removed from the dog park at the first sign of aggression. Dogs with a history of aggression are prohibited. Owners are responsible for any injuries caused by dogs under their control. All dog bites and serious injuries occurring in the dog park must be reported to Animal Control at (804) 365-6140. Any damage or unsafe conditions should be reported to the Parks and Recreation Department at (804) 365-7150. Those not following the rules will be asked to leave the dog park immediately.
