Imperia's Canine Connection 1+ Acre Private Dog Park The Spot: Over 1 acre of fully fenced (6' chain link) field area with a drive-through gate so your dogs can start running right out of the car. The surface is a packed sandy soil during the cold weather months and mowed natural vegetation during the warmer months. A walk around the interior fence line is about 1/4 mile so it's great for the active dog owner too. It's a close-in rural location right in Aurora just two miles east of I-225 from the Sixth Ave exit. While my field area is strictly for the dogs, there is a horse in a corral area next to the dog field. My neighbor has loose chickens on his property. Neither the horse nor the chickens are bothered by dogs. Dogs may bark out of curiosity and that's totally appropriate and ok, but they soon realize that with no reaction there is no need to bark. Sniffin' Hours are: 9:00 -5:30 every day except for Tuesday, which is field maintenance day, and my dogs do get kind of jealous if they can't use their own dog park.

We’ve visited three spots so far and this one is the favorite. I have three dogs (one highly reactive) and this spot is their heaven. Purchasing a monthly membership so our furr babies can have fun all the time! We just park in the designated Sniff Spot, open the gate and the dogs take off. A+ sniff spot! Big, clean, well kept, and plenty to do for the pups. There are lots of large, mature trees for shade, some balls left out by the host for fetching, and plenty of variation for sniffing and exploring. My dogs were so excited to have enough room to run full blast! The neighborhood was quiet, although we did see a person or two on their morning walk, and as other folks have mentioned the fence is shortish in places so if you have a large, athletic, reactive dog it is something to keep in mind. I found the fence secure enough to easily contain my toy breed dogs. As one review mentioned there's one area of fence in the back where the gaps are a bit larger than the rest, but there is no way my 10 lb dog could fit through and the lowest parts have cross-slats to prevent escape. I'd only be cautious if I had a truly tiny (under 5 lb) dog. Overall an excellent oasis in the city for doggy fun, we will definitely be back!

We love coming to Judd’s yard! So much space to run and sniff. His yard is always well kept and clean and there are lots of balls to play with. Also a hose, water bowl and pooper scooper are available. All you need to bring is your dog! We’re usually left to enjoy, but on the few occasions we’ve seen a family member coming or going, they’ve always been friendly and kind. Great spot!

Nice big yard with plenty of space! Make sure to actually read the instructions and/or look at the photos and it’s very clear where the entrance and parking is, lol. Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
