Hi my name is Brooke,
I have been into dog training for about 5 years now. I love teaching group classes and seeing how much our dogs can improve.
I am very much of the notion that dog training can not only positive impact your dogs life, but your life and your families life as well. My main goal with training is to help you communicate and create a positive relationship with your dog.
I try to help you understand WHY your dog is doing certain things and how to help break them of the habit, or give them a different outlet.
I hope to teach agility classes soon as well!
Dog training services include

Dog training methods:
In home session start with a consultation and training plan. Group sessions are 6 weeks and have a set curriculum. Force free and positive reinforcement methods only!
Why I became a dog trainer:
I first adopted my dog in a farm town in Utah, where dogs were regarded as tools and punishment was the norm. This never sat right with me.
I did a lot of research on the best, most humane way to train and I fell in love with it. I saw how my dog was positively impacted by this, and I wanted to share that with others who may have been struggling.
My favorite part of being a dog trainer:
I love all the new research that is coming out about dogs, our relationship with them and more! I like being able to share this knowledge and research with other handlers that may not have been known to them before.
I also like to see how force free methods can help someone learn to be more patient, forgiving and understanding of another being.
My #1 dog training tip:
If your dog isn't responding or listening to you, take a step back and think to yourself:
Are their biological needs being met (water, potty, exercise etc.)?
Does my dog actually know this behavior?
Are there too many distractions?
Do I have enough motivation?
Are they in pain?
Depending on the answer to these questions, give your dog what they need, and try again. If they still struggle, end your training session on a positive note and reflect on what went wrong.
What can we do better or how can we prepare?
