There are forest trails and trails around our hay fields. **Please note **Our residential areas are off limits, please stick to the trails and blue markers. Please do not enter any of the buildings on our property. When you come up the driveway veer to the right, there is a marked parking spot for you and your pup. Fall, winter and early spring are great months for ball chasers as we have big open fields. Mid spring and summer we have hay growing and ask you and your pups to follow the trails around the hay fields. There are a couple of cows on the neighboring property, this is only for a very small portion on one of the fields.

***Important: All charges are in USD*** Beautiful 25 acre farm of open hay fields surrounded by fencing on all sides. However, the fencing is a mix of 50% horse board-style fencing with 50% cattle panel type fencing along the roads at the front and along both sides of the property. Horse farms are on either side of the property and the horses to the south will come up to the fence and are very curious. The back of the property is open forest with board fencing as well. Lots of room for you and your dog(s) to run and play. Approximately 20 acres of open fields. No muddy areas and fields are well drained and dry. As an added bonus… The property goes all the way back to the tree line and the hill… They didn’t have an amenity for a toboggan hill, but if you’re bringing kids or feel like a kid, that’s available of course. 😇😇

On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre partially fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers walk towards the corner of Highway 6 and Concession 4 West. As you walk past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences as per the map. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. The highway is the right direction. Crossing through the tree line, and you have reached the private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch, train and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use and the status of the park. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. *WINTER 2025 UPDATE* 2024 was a wonderful year! It was our first year and because of you we were the top spot in the local area! With 77 reviews, 74 unique/first visitors, 182 happy dogs and a rating of 4.6 out 5! Our Corgi loved walking after your visits because of all the new dog smells. We have reviewed all of your comments and feedback. Here are some additions and projects we will embark in 2025 to improve your experience and the Sniffspot: 1. Fence gap at the Pond: Our neighbor has granted us permission to install a fence segment on their property to close the fence gap at the pond. 2. Entrance signage: We will be adding a main sign at the parking space which include a print out of the Sniffspot map, extra doggy bags, spare water and garbage with a mini roof/shelter. 3. Directional signage: we will me making wooden posts with signs and directions that will be installed throughout the property in the summer. 4. Rough Terrain: A quarter of the field is level and has been worked (sunflower area) but the remainder has not so we have obtained a local farmer to help us. More details below. Once completed, we will update the map and remove these note(s). Please note the following are TEMPORARY changes for 2025. We have rented the field to a young entrepreneurial farmer who will be planting organic soy beans this spring. In return, they will clean and “work” the field. This means cutting and clearing the entire field (except for the ditch line and few tagged trees), removing debris, making holes, filling holes, ploughing and leveling the field. This will eliminate the risk of slip, trips and falls. They have already removed all of the brush piles, and other debris in January 2025 (hence why the park was closed). About half the park has a rough terrain because their equipment will leave ruts, etc. East/Highway side quadrant is the most level. Please review the Winter Safety Map. We have asked the farmer to keep a 10-20 foot perimeter buffer between the fence and neighbours and we will be cutting/maintaining that trail. Once the soy beans are planted in April/May sniff spot walkers will be asked to keep their dogos on the perimeter trail to avoid significant crop damages. Therefore, we will be reducing the price of the park to $5 until harvest (September/October 2025). You will be welcome to continue to the spot and the leased area between the spot and the parking lot. We are excited because with a bit of sacrifice and time, our field will be level a safer place to walk. We will then be able to maintain trails and create a space that will accommodate the Sniffspot and our personal wants. If you have any questions, please let me know. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos).

We offer a laid-back, luxury, resort-like setting; open field, lots of grass meadows, xl in-ground dog-friendly pool (seasonal), huge fenced pool deck with lots of natural parkour levels, fenced tennis court, indoor washroom in the poolside cabana house, large outdoor fire-pit etc etc with loads of room for both dogs and their people. Our property is almost fully fenced, with partially fenced areas for both big and small dogs in mind. We provide a water hose and bucket for dog’s drinking. We have several lux seating areas for you and tennis, basketball and lawn games to keep you and the kids busy. For the dogs we have all sorts of fun activities, natural parkour and agility equipment. There is a pooper scooper. We compost waste so no bags needed. Just scoop and put into the provided bucket. Please do not leave your plastic poop bags here. We have no way to dispense of it. Unlimited on-site parking.

While we do not accept pets at the bed and breakfast, Sniffspot guests are welcome to make their time in rural Ontario an experience and extend their rural visit! For example, book the fire pit and Muskoka chairs for a bonfire, drinks, and snacks; book some snowshoes for an extended hike; or in the late Winter/early Spring, our Sugar Bush is in full swing, and guests can enjoy a tour of our Maple syrup-making process and lots more. IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD The Ireland farm is a 7 acre loop trail around our property, there is gravel, mulch, mud, grass a small pond and two grass cut acres for running and playing fetch. We have a fire pit with seating in one of the grass acres. There are no longer Alpacas and goats here as they’ve moved to the farm down the road. But you will come across Canadian Geese and Wild Turkeys, and sometimes Deer. As you drive by the red barn to the parking area you will sometimes see our dog friendly dog Butch in his gated area most likely sleeping! 😄 Once you reach your parking it is private and you are alone.

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD 70 acres of open farmland, woods and a creek. Your dog is about 1/4 km away from all other yards and buildings at all times. You may hear a dog bark in the distance depending on air quality, but it will be faint. You can take an easy hike along the field edge, or let your pet have the full experience of sniffing out coons, opossums, squirrels and many other things in the woods. The woods trail is steep and sloped for a portion of the way, and eventually joins the field edge trail. Neither trail is cleared of snow, but the woods trail mostly doesn't have a deep snow layer. Both trails give you access to the creek. Round trip to the back of the farm and back is 30-40 minutes at a good hike. In the summer, a beautiful rest camp is set up at the back for you to detox and enjoy the silence while your dog is in the water. A hose and/or small pool is provided at the front for your dog's rinse.

Our farm is located on 100 acres of beautifully scenic property and we have opened 26 acres of that space for you to explore. Our property is on predominantly flat elevation with trails, multiple fields and roughly 7 acres of forest. While the forest can be dense in spots, it is very walkable and presents a lovely spot to hike through. We have 5 ponds as well as a stream that runs the width of our property and travels through the forest. We have a myriad of wildlife that you may see or encounter during your adventures here. These could include (but are not limited to) great blue herons, muskrats, rabbits, geese, ducks, deer and coyotes. We do have livestock and a guardian dog on the property (they are fully fenced) as well as family pets so please respect their space and ensure your dogs are leashed anytime you are nearing the barn, paddock or barnyard areas.

We have plenty of space for running around, playing frisbee, fetch, swimming.. whatever your fur baby is after. We are a small farm, which means we have chickens, ducks and goats. We keep our animals in their coops when fur friends are visiting. ***please note; we require notice at least one day in advance if the animals are to be kept in their coops. Otherwise we let them free range*** The creek has an easy entry location. It’s shallow water at that spot. Deeper water in other areas. Our property is sprayed using a food grade insect deterrent. Plus our chickens free range when there are no dogs around. This means very minimal tick sightings. We have children, so expect some toys around. If you’re bringing children, they’re welcome to play on the play structure. (Pending parental approval and supervision). Plenty of muskoka chairs to relax in while your fur baby plays. The road isn’t right beside the area where fur friends run, however it is accessible from the yard. If you have a dog that’s a flight risk or likes to chase cars, this isn’t the right spot for you. We have lots of dog friends that visit unleashed and listen well to their owners with no issues. Any questions, please ask!

When u turn in the drive way follow it to the right and then slight left, you’ll see the house. U can park beside the barn and have an awesome walk, sniff all the things.
