The Sniffspot venue is a 3 acre fully fenced area that you and your dog will have unsupervised, exclusive use of for the time that you have booked. There, you will find fresh filtered (RO) water for your canine companions, an abundance of toys, Chuckit balls and launchers, including guest supplies and other listed amenities. The entire farm is 36 fenced acres. For anyone interested, I will gladly provide supervised walks around the entire property for additional psychological enrichment at no additional cost. Note: Palmhill is a working organic farm. There may be an occasional worker sighting, but absolutely no reason for any employee to ever interact with a guest or their dogs. My interests lie in offering an affordable, stress-free, large, safe, clean, offleash venue for guests and their canine companions. Thanks to an awesome group of guests who have been with us since first opening the venue, this has been a very rewarding experience. However, there have been, a few guests who have not been doing a very good job of cleaning up after their own dogs which makes it very unpleasant for the guests who come in to the venue next. I have many visitors who pick up dog droppings of other people's dogs and don't say a word, and also return toys and balls to the recepticles, but they shouldn't have to! I actually had a guest say to me once, "Oh, I thought you had people to do that!" No, everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves before they leave the field. That's how we keep the venue tidy and affordable! I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation. I've had to post a list of reminders at the venue, (thank you, Michele) which I feel terrible about because they're not relevant for the MAJOROTY of Palmhill's guests. It's just a handful of mostly newer guests who aren't being very team friendly. I've met some awesome people and even more so awesome dogs, but sorry to say, if you don't play fair, you will be asked not to come back to this venue. Everyone is welcome including, large groups, highly reactive dogs, special needs dogs- dogs with anxiety, physical handicaps, previous dog park trauma dogs, etc. We love them all and will do our best to make everyone feel welcome! After opening the gate under the JP LONGSTOCK RANCH sign, and shutting it behind your vehicle- you can park next to the shed and let your dog run free in the very secure and spacious ranch hillside. The spot consists of 3 acres fully fenced with a shed and picnic table offering a rustic ranch experience with views of the huge almost 100 year old historical barn where the Buffalo Soldiers once kept their horses. Now used as a breeding and riding ranch, you will likely see the unique leopard spotted Appaloosa X Friesian horses in their paddocks or turned out enjoying kicking up their heels (sometimes with their babies) in the nearby arena. The shed has electrity, free Wi-Fi, privacy, drinking water for you and your companion(s), fire pit, colorful picnic bench, couch, chairs, and table stocked with puzzles and old school games. The area is large and wide open for your pups to play and run with some large trees, a kiddy pool and horse shoe pit. Enjoy the spectacular desert mountain views surrounding the rustic charming ranch. We offer rock painting, using our metal detector to discover old treasures left by the soldiers, tours of the barn and meeting the horses all at a small additional cost if you choose to add some extra entertainment. If not, just enjoy your time with your pet(s) and make yourself at home. The vibe here is very laid back, clean and welcoming. We can cater to almost any requests so please let us know what you would like your experiences here to be like or any special events or instructions to give you the most quality out of your time at the ranch. Incredible! This was the perfect place to relax with the pup. The bungee line is located near a couple of comfy chairs, so I was able to relax while my dog sniffed around. The rest of the area is pretty rocky / hilly, so plan accordingly! They went out of their way to add extra touches like water and poop bags. Heads up for the road leading up to the property: it’s narrow with some blind corners.

run don't walk! This is a huge fully fenced horse property with several fenced corrals. (2 horses remain out of sight of the Sniffspot corral, which is closest to the road) ... Owners are dog lovers and very kind. When we arrived the gate was locked & we almost left, but host showed up near the fence and let us in & showed us around the property. My dog had a fantastic time running and sniffing everything. Hosts have big plans to eventually open another corral, create walking paths, and a seasonal little pond. Currently one huge fully fenced corral is for sniffspot reservations. My dog had a fantastic time being a dog & it was a relief not to have to worry if she was going to get into something, because the property is completely set up for dogs. Recommend you message hosts through app to confirm your reservation as they currently are having issues getting support with the app from Sniffspot. My dog didn't want to leave & we Look forward to being regulars at this spot.

I brought a dog here from the rescue I volunteer at, and he was absolutely in doggie Heaven! I was about 15 minutes late due to traffic but Caren was super accommodating. The yard has everything you need: water bowls, poop bags, tennis balls, etc. The area is completely enclosed. Caren even offered to take Ringo and I on a walk around the property (the larger property the yard is in is also completely fenced and enclosed) and invited us to stay past our allotted time. The dog I brought loved every second he was there. Caren and her husband are both extremely kind and are true animal lovers. They even sent the dog I brought home with a big bag of treats. I absolutely plan on coming back and recommend this sniff spot to everyone!

We had a lovely visit to this Sniffspot and plan to make it part of our regular routine. Access is through a gate which you close behind you and then drive a short ways to park next to a very large fenced field. The entire property is fenced and has multiple separate fields and a path that circles a citrus orchard. My dog had the greatest time running and sniffing and then running some more.

This is hands down the BEST sniffspot I have visited. The lovely couple is extremely attentive to any questions or concerns you may have. (They are having issues with the app so I would connect with them a day or two before planning to visit to avoid any technical issues). Rest assured that everything is 100% fenced in. I am probably the most paranoid Dog mom and I kid you not, I walked every inch of this property to ensure my dog wouldn’t escape. The owners are so sweet. They even had a little treat bag ready for Levi once we arrived. They Kept my mind at ease, and even introduced one of their dogs to mine and it was a wonderful experience to finally see my dog not be reactive towards another and just enjoy himself. We walked around the property off leash. Levi was able to experience Pony’s, chickens, and a beautiful walk. There are toys provided, buckets with water, shade and poop bags. I will definitely be back. Thank you guys for such a beautiful experience.

Wonderful experience. Hosts are lovely and welcoming. There is a shaded seating area with balls, toys, poop bags, hand sanitizer. Fully fenced, grass is cut short which we really appreciated. Clean water for the dogs, easy access from the road. It was great for our dogs, one who needs a lot of space to run, chase balls and frisbee, and the other who likes to leisurely sniff around perimeters.

What an amazing place for my big dogs to be able to explore and never have to worry about them taking off!! The entire property is well secured and gated. Caren was so kind to take me and my dogs on a walk around the property and my boys LOVED exploring off leash!!! I thought my one mischievous dog would be naughty but he did so well cause everything is secure. He found himself in the miniature horse stables with them and just thought they weee bigger dogs. But the horses were so patient there was no issue. And my dogs didn’t react to them. Because the horses were so patient and accustomed to dogs. As for the actual sniffspot, my dogs loved running and chasing balls (even though they were pretty tired after the walk). I saw the previous reviews and made sure to reach out to Caren a few hours before the appt time and getting to the place was a breeze. One of the best sniffspots we’ve been to and we’ve been to them in over 3 states!!

This place is a dream come true! The owners are so kind! I'm truly impressed with everything. It's clean and safe, there is shade, toys, poop bags, sunscreen, and several huge buckets of water. This was our second visit, and each time the owner gave us a bag of freeze dried treats to take home! She said it was a New Zealand lamb. The dogs had a blast. The first time we visited, they invited us as their guests. They showed us around the property, and let the dogs run all over sniffing and exploring. Today we were allowed to explore on our own. We had such a great time. We will definitely be back!

My dogs and I had such a great time at this spot today. There is so much room its a large open space so I could always keep an eye on both of my dogs while they explored. There are plenty of toys and balls for play , Luka loved the soccer ball. Very special hosts ,they are very hospitable and friendly we took a walk around the property my dogs loved it. Carren and her husband Drasko were amazing hosts. The property is beautiful and spacious with substantial fencing all around. Despite my dog's reactivity, Drasko suggested he bring his dogs out to see how she would play and they had an amazing time chasing each other and walking the perimeter! We had an excellent visit to Palmhill! We were delayed on the way up due to road closure and Caren was nice enough to work with us on our delayed arrival. We enjoyed a big open field and then got a tour around the property off leash. Everything is fenced and he felt very safe. Dogs and humans had a blast! We will definitely visit again!
