55Nova loved it. We were first visitors! Miranda is super friendly. All animals were in enclosures, they could not get out, Nova could not get in. It's a large pasture field, so wear appropriate foot wear. No sniff spot sign yet but it's a new spot, so that is still in progress. I think my little dog could have fit through the gate to the pigs but she's 9lbs and a slinky, was not with us. Julie M.

55Oh my goodness, did our pups love this sniffspot. Logs to jump over. Chickens and pigs (carefully fenced off) next door. Gates to run in and out of. Sniffies for days and days. Mom & Dad loved Kenny meeting us personally, and being so accommodating! What we liked best of all was how carefully Kenny had put logs up against the fence, around the whole perimeter. No worries that pups would squeeze underneath and escape. Highest recommendation, and we will definitely return. Cydney & James S.

55For one thing Carrie is awesome! + her fully fenced yard is on an incline which is great for helping my rambunctious dogs get tired! She is a great host and it was just the break my dogs and I needed!

55Great place. Lots of room to roam, animals to look at in the distance. It’s only fenced on three sides, but it was plenty deep enough for my 9 mo old pup to get worn out without feeling any need to escape. Will definitely come back. Laurie F.

55This is an excellent sniffspot! It was easy to find and parking was well marked. The field is huge and felt safe for my pup despite not being fenced on all sides. We had a blast playing fetch, running around and exploring. I plan to revisit this spot regularly! Chris S.

55We had a lovely visit at the Scapoose Sanctuary this morning. The field is wide open with plenty of room to play frisbee. The property was easy to find and parking was a cinch. Toys were available for use along with a bowl for water and folding chairs.
I would caution that, as disclosed in the description, this property is not completely fenced. If you have curious dogs, without a good recall, choose a different location. Cicely T.

55Super friendly owner. He let us know that he didn't have another appointment lined up after us, so if we wanted to stay a bit longer, that would have been fine. This is the 2nd time using this spot, and def won't be the last. Cory N.

55Great spot, Woody loved all the sticks to chase & chew on! Quiet horses nearby, some barking dogs in the distance, moderately busy road next to the back fence. All great desensitizing noises for my shy guy!Rachel T.

55Loved this Sniffspot! Easy to find, clear directions from the owner. We parked in front of the green cattle gate (where Sniffspot entrance is), furthest to the right. There were a few Sniffspot icons that were helpful in signaling we were at the right place.
My three dogs had a blast, one especially with the kiddie pool. While one was having a great time making splashes obsessively, the other two wandered around the vast property, enjoying all the new smells and exploring the bushes, trees, and grass. There were a couple of horses two fields over (didn't even seem to know that we were there) that my dogs ignored because they were so busy having fun at the Sniffspot.
Owners are very gracious and hospitable - told me to help myself to the apples, grapes, and pears, and even came out to hand me a towel to dry my dog off and new toys (asked if they could come out first and meet my dogs before doing so).
Can't wait to come back!! Thank you for sharing your property!Rona A.

FAQ about our Kelso dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Kelso area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 141 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 21 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
