55Great property for exploring! My dog and I had a wonderful time. I was worried about finding the place based on previous reviews but I didn’t have any issues. I’d recommend hiking boots with good ankle support and walking poles, especially if you tend be a little clumsy like myself. The host was friendly and promptly met me for a brief and helpful rundown of the property. I would recommend more than hour for your visit to make the most of this large property. Good recall is a must. Lots of good smells and wildlife out there! We will definitely be back!Whitney G.

55We had a nice time exploring this spot. The host sent us a message beforehand to help us find our way and met upon arrival to provide guidance on where to walk. Interesting, rugged terrain and great views. Our dogs loved romping in the fields, running up and down hills, and checking out the tree piles. Thanks for letting us visit! Dani S.

55Great spot for a little adventure. Varying landscape and terrain, and lots of room to roam. Super quiet and secluded. My dog had a great time. Definitely recommend hiking boots for this spot. Host was kind. It was fogged in, so no views to appreciate. Would love to come back on a clearer day. Thanks!Annie K.

55This place was amazing! The view is to die for and the host is extremely nice. They even left out snacks for humans and pets! It is a weird drive to get up there but it’s absolutely worth it. Use Google maps and when you get within a mile of the place you kinda have to stop using maps and just go off the signs, we will definitely visit again!Emmily B.

55So much fun on this foggy, cold morning. No views obviously today but we had plenty of things to do here, and we have a nice and tired border collie now. We will definitely be back. Appreciate the hose to get the mud off. Thank you. Karoline W.

55Wow! This place is a hiker/walker and dogs dream. There is SO much to see and so many different trails and roads to get you there. My dog had a blast and is exhausted. This is a hidden gem that I am so happy I found! Worth the beautiful drive and so fun to look at all the Christmas trees and wild mushrooms along the trails. You don’t want to miss this place. 55Wow!! The tree farm is incredible. My boy had the best time. There are lots of trails to explore, but we stuck to a few main ones. Will definitely need to book more time. My lab also found the creek and spent a lot of time laying in it, as labs do 😅. Thank you Lisa, for showing us around and for opening this space to us! Chantalle v.

55We had a friend join us today and we explored some more trails! This Sniffspot is out there, but so worth it! We also went to the part that borders BLM, which you can also access. We didn’t have enough time, but it’s something we might do in the future! Chantalle v.

FAQ about our North Plains dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the North Plains area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 218 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 35 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
