  • Loves to run and play chase! We are saving to get a big yard again one day but are doing our best to stay safe in the heat in our apartment for now

  • Nova is a very playful pup who absolutely loves all other dogs! Her favorite things are running, swimming, exploring, and playing with doggy friends. She’s a very sweet girl who listens well. However, she is stranger reactive and very fearful of new people and that’s why Nova and me joined sniffspot!

    Sophia M.

  • I am a 4 year old Siberian husky that is probably the best boy that has ever existed according to my parents. I like to zoom around and pretend to bring the ball back to my parents to keep them on their toes. I am the warden of daycare and I take my job very seriously. I enjoy pets but only if you’re cool. Like me 😎

    Daejana H.

  • I like to run fast and play with other pups, but only after introductions. I'm a bit shy at first and very protective of my mom; please don't crowd me into a space, it makes me scared! I'm a rescue from Oman who came to the US in 2019. My mom adopted me less than a week after I got here; she's my best friend and I love her. After a good 30 to 40 minute run, I'm a complete couch potato! I know what "nap time" means and I fully take advantage of it.

    Jenna L.

  • Hi I'm Nova. I'm a sweet 6 year old pup that will bark at people passing by the gate. I love getting pets, attention & treats though. I love sunbathing and chasing birds

    Jessica S.

  • I am social and friendly, and just happy to be a dog! I will give anyone a kiss and love getting pets and attention! I can also be shy and find a place to hide. Please do not try to pick me up, I don’t like when strangers grab me.

    Jessica Z.

  • I really love my family! Once I know you I'll love you too but I'd prefer you just ignore me so I feel you are not a threat. If you can do that, we're good! No, I don't bite I just have a GSD bark. 😉 I love my 15 yr old Chihuahua sister but she's kinda bossy and boring.

    Christi W.

  • nova is a high energy happy dog she loves to sniff run around and play! she’s not a big fan of other dogs besides her sister so we love sniff spots for her!!

    rhiannon t.

  • Nova was adopted from the Heaven can Wait foundation in High River. We're unsure of his age but believe him to be about 2yrs old. He is a Golden Retriever & Nova Scotia Retriever cross (best guess).

    James P.

  • Hi! I'm Nova! I lub people. And toys. And the outside. And my new baby brother. And Mama snuggles. And And And squirrels! Yes the squirrels! *twirlies* My moms like it when I smile REALLY big, and they tell me I'm bOOtiful. They make me do tricks for treats and kisses. They even give me kisses when I can't do the tricks cause my hips are ouchy. Mama Maxx says I sometimes look and sound scary to some people who dont know me and that my breeedz are misunderstood. It's confoosing for me cause I LOVE making new friends. I boof and bark about how excited I am, which makes some go away and I get sad. I don't think I'm very big or scary but my Mom's tells me I'm not supposed to be a lap dog anymore. They also says I should talk nicer to people so they know how much of a lovable Squish I am. I'm still not sure what that means but Mama always sounds happy when she says it, so it must be a good thing! I try really hard but sometimes I forget my manerz, I don't want to be scary! Can we be friends? Pweeze!

    Maxx K.

  • Hi, I'm Nova! (My instagram is @novaleighh_) I'm my mom and dad's pride and joy (and I know it lol) I love running off-leash and exploring all of the smells. I love meeting new people .. sometimes if I meet someone I REALLY like I'll tell you with my beautiful (but loud) voice. I love camping, hiking, kayaking & overall being outdoors with my parents and friends :)

    Briana F.

  • Nova is a rescue puppy. My son took her from someone else and she started fighting with their other female dogs and stopped eating. I took her when she was on the verge of starvation. She is mostly a sweet dog but use caution when approaching her. We thought she was too old to have puppies but once she regained her health she went into heat. Hence Phoenix the puppy. She only had the one puppy and rejected him at birth.

    Candi G.

  • Nova loves cuddling her humans in bed at night, going for walks and car rides. She loves getting fed cheese in the Dunkin’ Donuts drive thru. She loves tug & treats. She is the best doggy.

    Kaitlin M.

  • Nova is an 8-month-old french bulldog who's playful, sweet, loveable lots of energy. Nova has and is updated on all shots

    Tanya G.

  • I am a homebody but I love to explore and sometimes take a dip in a puddle. I also love to roll around in anything that smells really bad.

    Judy C.

How This Family is Affording Their Dream Property Through Renting it Hourly to Dogs

Thousand Oaks, California has been a safe haven for Sniffspot host, Jen, since childhood. Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
