Courtney started Bullies 2 the rescue many years ago and I was fortunate enough to find her when I was scrolling through Facebook after the loss of my 2nd bulldog. I had gotten Rocky as a rescue and had him for 6 years before he unexpectedly passed away. Up until then, I didn't know about Bullies 2 the Rescue but I soon learned about the rescue, it's owner and founder and its great volunteers. If at all possible, they will do whatever it takes to save, treat, rehome and give a bulldog the best rest of it's life that is possible. Courtney works tirelessly and makes sacrifices so that no bulldog is turned away. I rescued my third bulldog, Trudy Sue, and immediately became a part of a much bigger world. Everyone will happily support a new bulldog parent and fundraiser for the Bullies still needing help. Courtney has a dream to have a facility that would be a place to treat and shelter bulldogs in their time of need. I don't know of anyone who deserves this more than Courtney and her rescue. Please strongly consider this rescue as your top rescue.

Bullies 2 the Rescue is made up of a group of volunteers that I call my family. We rely solely on donations for the care and treatment of the rescued Bulldogs that are admitted to our organization.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to first ensure the safety and well-being of all English Bulldogs that we take in and second to educate the public in the care of English Bulldogs. We rehabilitate and re-home English Bulldogs that are sick, neglected, abused, or injured. Moreover, we provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the already difficult decision of finding a new home for their English bulldog. B2TR rescued 36 English Bulldogs our first year and since forming have rescued more than 700 dogs. The rescue has approximately 50-70 dogs in foster care at any given time.

Adoption Policy

Bullies 2 the Rescue is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. We'll make every effort to schedule your home visits at a time that is good for you. Please be flexible to our schedule, as well.Adoption fees range from $600 - 800 but may vary from $100 to $1,500, depending upon the age/health of the dog. All rescue bullies are spayed/neutered, micro chipped and up-to-date on all shots prior to adoption. We very rarely get puppies through the rescue program. If we do rescue puppies, they tend to come in due to problematic medical conditions that require a great deal of personal time and financial commitments to care for them. You are giving a homeless dog a second chance. This means having the time and patience to work with social, emotional and behavioral problems. In some cases, a health issue is present. We disclose all information we are given and are aware of, as we want to make this as smooth a transition for the dog as possible. Many rescued Bulldogs don't get along with other animals and some can't be placed with small children. Because of this we do not adopt out to families with children under 6 years old. This is for your child's and our bulldog's safety and well-being. We hope that as parents you can appreciate this. Yes, we do allow out-of-state adoptions but you MUST come to us to adopt. You've got to sign the adoption contract and have your photo taken for the official announcement! We do not transport or allow transports-for-hire. We do not adopt outside of the U.S. If you live in Canada, please apply with one of the rescues there. If you're seeking to obtain a cheap English bulldog or you're looking for a specific color or look or only want a puppy, rescue is probably not for you. It is important for all interested parties to understand that our primary commitment is to the dogs who are in our care. We look for the right family to suit our rescue dogs. It's not about picking out the cutest one. The cutest one may not be your match! Please do your research prior to applying. Bulldogs are extremely high m

"We have fostered and adopted through Bullies 2 the Rescue. Courtney works tirelessly to help dogs in need due to medical issues, congenital defects, injuries, neglect, abuse or just when an owner can no longer care for a beloved pet. She literally never stops and the bills to care for these doggos are enormous. This is an extremely deserving organization."

"Over the last 10 years we have adopted or foster failed 5 dogs with Bullies2TheRescue. We have also transported and done home visits so that we can share the love that we have adopted with other families. This small all volunteer run rescue simply performs miracles on what seems to be a shoestring budget while not turning any dog away. They always try to do what they can to help save a dog that needs them. Very grateful to the people that tirelessly volunteer and do some pretty heavy lifting for dogs and families"

"My first rescue was Tilda. She had been returned twice, so she was not eligible for adoption. I had lost all 3 of my babies with 2 years and my heart was broken. I was asked by bullies 2 the rescue if I wanted to provide a home for Tilda. I did. It took me a year to get a kiss from her, with training, patience and love she became my soulmate. Bullies 2 the rescue helped me with everything. Every question I had they responded. I had 5 amazing years with Tilda. Some gave up on her but not Bullies 2 the rescue."

"Bullies 2 the rescue has a pretty strict application process because they care about the bullie first. When you finally get accepted and you find that bullie that touched your heart, Bullies 2 the rescue is there to guide you through the first few months of Introduction and then to help with any questions or concerns that come up. You just don't get a bulldog from this rescue. You get one fierce mama bear In Courtney who cares about all her Bullies past and present. You also get a wonderful support group from all the fosters and adoptees."

Thousand Oaks, California has been a safe haven for Sniffspot host, Jen, since childhood. Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
