We are a nonprofit 5013c in the Tumalo area of Bend, OR, that rescues and rehomes dogs and cats from urgent situations and shelters. We are a team of volunteers who are passionate about saving lives and addressing pet overpopulation.
Mission and Vision
In short, to address the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter, and education.
Cascade Canine Rescue East and West or CCREW, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group in the Tumalo area of Bend, OR. It is run by passionate volunteers who work endlessly to save, vaccinate, care for, spay/neuter, microchip, and network to find loving forever homes for dogs and puppies. We rely heavily on other Pacific Northwest rescue partners, local dog advocates, low-cost vets and business support, fosters, and others to help us with our mission. We are truly grateful for the assistance.
CCREW provides local assistance if there’s a need and we are able to provide accommodations. We aid in connecting folks with other community resources involved with animal welfare as well.
CCREW advocates for bully breeds, but is not breed specific. We save all different breeds and ages of dogs if we think we have a good chance of finding them loving homes in Oregon.
The majority of our furry friends are saved from overcrowded high kill shelters and other urgent situations in CA. These animals have often been neglected or dumped, and have little to no chance of survival without CCREW and our passionate partners. It truly takes a village to make a dent in the terrible overpopulation epidemic in this country.
Adoption Policy
Adoption Application Process
Rescue will review each adoption application and will interview each applicant by phone or in person. If the prospective adopter is a likely fit for a particular dog, we will arrange for a meeting with the dog.
Our goal is to place each dog with the adopter who is the best fit. At times, we have more than one qualified applicant interested in adopting a particular dog. To determine the best placement, we consider several factors, including, but not limited to, the following: (i) the amount of time the dog will be alone each day; (ii) whether a dog will be adopted with another dog or alone; (iii) other pets in the household; (iv) whether the dog will be “indoor only;” (v) special needs of the particular dog; and (vi) experience of the adopter. If, after meeting the dog, the prospective adopter wants to proceed, our foster coordinator and the foster parents will consult to determine next steps.
Adoption Fees
Our adoption fees range from $250 to $600 per dog and $100-$160 per kitten, though are based on several factors: (i) characteristics of the dog/cat (age, breed, breed mix, etc.); (ii) input costs (e.g. special medical treatments); (iii) special circumstances of the adopter; (iv) special circumstances of the dog (special needs, length of time in foster care, etc.); and (v) if a dog is being adopted along with another dog. Under special circumstances, we may subsidize or waive a fee. All fees are applied to the charitable purposes of rescuing, caring for and placing dogs.

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
