NTTSARS is a non-profit 501(c)(3), no kill, volunteer rescue that is dedicated to providing a better life for homeless, abused and neglected animals. NTTSARS is run mainly by volunteers to help save animals and prepare them to become a family companion. NTTSARS is dedicated to caring for these animals in our communities through adoption, vetting, training, sanctuary, cruelty investigation and community awareness as well as food pantry and low cost services when we are able.
Did you know that as an organization No Time To Spare Animal Rescue & Sanctuary spays, neuters, vaccinates, and corrects any known health problems of our rescued pets? This includes but is not limited to common ailments such as worms, kennel cough, non contagious mange, ear infections, viruses, etc, and even includes the way more serious issues like contagious mange, heart worms, parvo, broken pelvis, hip replacement, starvation, mammary tumors, lumpectomies, and dental issues. In addition, all of our animals are groomed, maintained and cared for while in our care. As far as running the shelter, the gals and guys here amaze me everyday! Before we are even awake they are up and getting it done. The hustle and bustle of feeding, watering, letting out, medicating, and exercising these animals begins at the crack of dawn. Behind the scenes volunteers run animals to vet appointments, adoption events, home visits, food runs, craft fairs, flea markets, and fundraisers. They are also working diligently on applying for grants, managing internet needs, following up on social media leads and requests, fostering, watching the kill list at the shelters daily (even watching the far away shelters that may be in need), Lastly there are the tons of phone calls, adoption & foster applications, messages and e-mails that are handled, and all of our yearly licensure paperwork, including Department of Agriculture inspections and monthly county reports that must be prepared for. But most importantly, SAVING THE LIVES OF THE INNOCENT!
Adoption Policy
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
We value all of our customers and encourage those interested in adoption to follow our established process. This includes completing a detailed pre-adoption questionnaire, which can be found through our website. Additionally, if you are adopting a dog while having another dog at home, a meet and greet is suggested.
Please note that submitting a questionnaire does not guarantee adoption. Applicants may be declined based on various factors. Our priority is to match each dog with the most suitable home, rather than operating on a first-come, first-served basis. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
Furthermore, some of our animals arrive with siblings or close companions. If our staff determines that these animals are better off together, they will only be available for adoption as a bonded pair.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FILLING OUT A PRE-ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE
• You must be a least 18 years old to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire.
• There is no fee is submit a questionnaire.
• Please have photo I.D. so we can verify identity and address.
When choosing to submit a questionnaire, you can choose up to three dogs or you can fill out the “General Questionnaire”, indicating you would like to come and look at dogs/puppies to decide.
Completing the questionnaire is a brief process. You can expect to receive a response from one of our adoption coordinators within 5-7 business days.
CITY LIMITS AND RESTRICTIONS
Please keep in mind that we respect city, and township limits and restrictions on pets. Many cities and counties have a limit to how many pets a household may have and/or may have breed restrictions as well. For example, St. Charles City only allows each household to own up to 2 dogs with up to 4 pets total. The city of Fenton, meanwhile, does not allow Pit Bulls. Please check the laws with your city to see how many pets you may own and if there are any breeds you are not allowed to have.
ADOPTION FEES
After submitting the pre-adoption questionnaire and receiving approval from an adoption coordinator, you will be invited to meet the dog. At that time, should you chose to adopt, you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on donations and adoption fees for funding, we do not receive any government funding.
ADOPTION FEES CAN VARY BASED ON A LOT OF FACTORS, PLEASE LOOK AT PROFILES TO DETERMINE FEES
PLEASE NOTE: There is not a specific age that we classify animals as seniors. Some breeds age more quickly than others. The shorter the lifespan for that particular breed, the earlier the age we will classify them as a senior.
FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Fees help defray the cost of spay/neuter, vet care, food, housing, etc. Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, micro-chipping, de-worming, and current age-appropriate vaccinations of the adopted pet. Post-adoption veterinary care is the financial responsibility of the new guardian.
Please keep in mind the amount of commitment a pet needs. Decompression time is very important and can take up to 3 months for a dog to adjust to it’s new environment and expectations. Pets require much of your time, love, and attention. The costs of owning a pet include food, vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, licensing, possible boarding, and emergency veterinary care. It may also require the expense of a trainer. Please consider these requirements when adopting a pet, and be sure you are willing to commit to a new family member who will be with you for the next 10-20 years.
PLEASE NOTE: NTTSARS reserves the right to approve or deny anyone according to our adoption policies and procedures, we pledge our best efforts to find good homes for our companion animals.

David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot.
