55Great place, definitely will be back. Easy to follow trails and nice quiet area. It was nice that the host left trail maps. One suggestion is to move the piece of equipment that is used to drag the ground (it was on the side of the trail) as some dogs could run onto it. Thanks!Cheryl V.

55This was such a wonderful spot for our reactive boy! We saw a few chickens in a coop at the beginning but they didn’t make a sound and our boy was sooo busy sniffing around he didn’t even notice them. There was a dog barking from an RV but he didn’t seem to care at all. We saw some horses but they were far from us with at least two fence’s inbetween. The creek was wonderful for our boy to play in too! We felt it was completely safe for our dog but chose to keep him on a 15 foot lead because we are still working on our recall! We didn’t see anyone or any dogs the whole hour we were there! This was our first time using Sniffspot and what a great first impression it was! Def recommend for reactive dogs and will def be back! Thank you for having us Rouge Ranch! Christina R.

55Wear your hiking shoes! This is a great property. It’s just like being out on public forest lands, but with fewer tall trees. It has some elevation change to it so it’s good exercise. Very clean and well-maintained. There are a few cans located along the trails for waste bags. The trails are far enough away from neighboring properties that I didn’t have any issues with my dog getting near the horses, but she didn’t venture far from the trails. It probably depends on your cell carrier, but I didn’t have service there so you may want to download information you’re hoping to have once you get there. There is an information box with copies of the trail map at the trailhead next to the port-a-potty. Be sure to check out all the trails and not just the main loop because there are some really beautiful spots, especially down along the creek. We loved it and would definitely use it again.Corey C.

55Momo loved getting to run around and explore! I had him on a long line and he would run and run and thought it was the best thing. I did not plan properly and wore slides instead of my hiking boots. I personally wish I wore closed-toed shoes so I could run easier with Momo, but it's really just personal preference.
There was also a porta-potty, which I did not need to use but I really appreciated that it was there if I needed it. Abby I.

55I’ve been curious about this particular Sniffspot and I’m very grateful to have made it out today! The directions are clear. The trails are clearly laid out. We didn’t come into any other loose dogs, although the dogs in the guest house saw us and barked. We are dealing with aggression from one of our once playful furbabes due to several bad experiences with loose dogs. So that was important for us. Loved the trails and views! Appreciated the extra poop bin on the top of the hill. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to be back! Marianne S.

FAQ about our Beavercreek dog hiking trails
Are dog hiking trails safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars. Our hiking trails tend to be outside the city, which lends to more privacy, but it is also important to follow typical hiking safety precautions, such as potentially having trail maps.
