Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Fredericksburg, VA

We once again loved this spot! This time we did an Easter egg hunt (and cleaned up after ourselves) and the boys had so much fun foraging around the yard for treat filled eggs!

This was my first sniffspot visit, and it was awesome. The area was perfect with an open running area as well as some shaded space. The picnic table was a great sit-down space, and Kevin made the visit even better with a little advice that worked wonders. We will definitely be visiting again.

What a special and peaceful property! My husband and I took our three dogs and walked the perimeter of the property and around the pond on a beautiful Spring day before sunset. We set up our camp chairs on the back side of the pond with the forest behind us and enjoyed the birds chirping and the pond view with a glass of wine while the dogs explored up and down the fenceline and the pond edge. We gave ourselves plenty of time to both relax and explore. No one else was around or checked on us during our visit. However we were made aware in advance that sometimes the property can be rented for camping so that is something to verify when booking. This is a great spot to work with your dog on recall as they can run pretty far ahead, and then you can yell loudly for their return and reward that response with a treat. That is what we did with our dogs and they were exhausted at the end of two hours. A very nice Sniffspot we will return to.

Large fantastic well kept yard! The fence was secure enough for my little escape artist. Plenty of seating, toys, and room for dogs to run!

My Australian shepherd and I had an amazing time at Keith’s fully fenced dog park! My pup had plenty of room to run and play. It was great having a private spot to relax with my friend while my dog enjoyed himself. The seating area was comfortable and we really appreciated the heaters. There was fresh water available for my dog and he even had a place to charge my phone!

The boys had a great time here! The host was great because she didn’t try to be friends with my reactive dogs so they were able to spend the whole time enjoying the yard. There was water provided from the hose and a basket of toys for us. We will definitely be back!

If dogs could rate this park, it’d be five barks! Wide open spaces for zoomies, plenty of sniff-tastic scents, and no pesky leashes—just pure joy. Our pup ran like a racecar, made new furry friends, and had the time of their life. The park is clean, secure, and even has shaded seating for humans. A must-visit for any dog who loves adventure!

Our puppy and family really enjoyed playing in the open area. Many places to sniff and room to run and play!

Great yard to play in! Grassy and spacious, clean, cozy, the host even left out some snacks and drinks for us by the fire pit - and water bowls for the dogs. Definitely coming again! Thank you!

Stopped by with my 2 girls and we loved this peaceful clean spot! At first my dogs didn't seem to understand that they were off leash but as they realized they could run, sniff, and play they walked around and had moments that ranged from exuberant running to just taking it all in at the top of the hill! I felt safe when I parked my car and that's important to me. I liked that the entrance (gate) was close to my vehicle. My pups are exhausted and sleeping soundly! They've been thoroughly spoiled today and exercised! Thank you

Homeowner was very nice and gave great instructions when we were there. Great area and good running space for our dogs!

Amazing spot! My dog loved all of the space and the wagon full of toys. There was even a google speaker to play music while we visited. Will definitely return!

We had a great visit despite the snow, the pack loved soaring up and down the hills. Nice spot and we’ll be coming back!

Friendly and thoughtful hosts, e.g. water bowls and dog toys available, responded timely to questions I had, etc. Backyard was clean, spacious, and engaging.

The backyard was great. The fencing was very secure. I really like that they had a large assortment of dog toys available along with Water and a bucket for poop bags.

My dogs love this yard! Plenty of space to roam and big enough to use a chuck-it and chase balls. The owners are super nice. This is our go-to spot near home.

Kevin and Tonya’s space is one of the best Sniffspots I have been to! It is a very relaxing and welcoming space for humans and dogs. There was plenty of toys to play with and room to run and get zoomies. They were very understanding and responsive hosts and worked with me traveling through traffic. definitely stop by if you are in the area!! :)

Great amount of space for dogs to run, roam or just chase a ball. They provide water, poop bags and it's clean. My dog loved the little trailer of toys. I will definitely be back.

Gunner loves this spot! Lots of open green space for playing ball, romping through the wooded area and, oh my, the pond! Loves going in for a drink and a swim, then back to running around.
