55We had a blast! It was really nice to have the cabin deck to use as a home base. We set up their water dishes and had an afternoon snack there partway through our visit. We didn't make use of the fire pit but would be fun to do on another trip.
The dogs had a great time running in the trees and of course found comically large sticks to drag around.
I noticed some fairly large holes in the ground in the woods on the northern edge of the property. (At least I think it's north-the side furthest away from the cabin/driveway/401.) If your dog likes to run at a million miles an hour, I'd keep them out of that area or have them on leash there to avoid any potential injuries. No fault of the owners-it's a wooded area and they look like tree stump holes, just something to keep in mind. We got to that part last and they'd had lots of zoomies by that point.
Thanks for sharing such a great space and we'd love to visit again!Kiran T.

20 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Erin | Sniffspot
55Great spot! There's 5ish acres at the back of the property to explore.
The off leash area is very isolated and nice, but on the drive in you have to pass by the pen where the owners two dogs are so be ready to manage your own dog as you drive past them! Otherwise no dogs or animals anywhere in sight :)Maryssa B.

55Truly a beautiful place. Absolute freedom for your furry friends and the kindest host you could ask for. Vitaliy was so welcoming and made our stay so special.
I brought my doggy here for a perfect last day before he crossed the rainbow bridge, and this place was a dream come true. My only regret is not discovering this haven sooner. Emily C.

55We decided to stop by this Sniffspot during our Toronto trip. I can say this is well worth the drive from Toronto. We were kindly greeted by Vitaliy when we arrived. His Sniffspot offers an amazing experience to all dogs, especially those who are reactive. Our dog Leo was able to fully enjoy himself on his large property. Leo had a great time running free and especially enjoyed climbing the sand hills. This Sniffspot is serene and truly a dog’s paradise. At the end of our visit, Vitaliy kindly offered us the water hose to wash down our dog. This is by far the best Sniffspot experience we have had and I would highly recommend it. Thank you Vitaliy for sharing such a wonderful place for dogs! :) Kelly I.

55This is my first sniff spot and it’s well worth the trip, you will especially enjoy it if your dog is a large active breed or reactive to dogs or people. I will definitely bring my cane corso here! Trails are clearly signed, moskoka chairs provided by the beach or water entrance and trials are well maintained. Great cardio and awesome way to enjoy a weekend. We stayed for an hour, we could have easily spent two hours by the water. You will not see a soul and as long as your dog has decent recall you will be fine. Awesome property about 35 minutes from brampton. Denise A.

55Wonderful spot to spend some time with your pup. Lots of areas to explore from water to sand to forest to field. Pathways are well taken care of and signage is clear. Vitaliy is an excellent host - he took the time to explain the property and you could really tell he loves pets. We'll be back!Scott J.

55My pup Siena and I, along with my partner and his dog Ten, loved this Sniffspot! Not only was the beautiful property well-marked and maintained, but Vitaly displayed a clear understanding of dog behaviour by standing back from the car and asking before approaching the dogs to greet them. I’ll definitely be using this Sniffspot again in the future, and recommending it to anyone interested in booking a Sniffspot for their dog.Bianca R.

FAQ about our Terra Cotta dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 95% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Terra Cotta area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 320 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 38 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
