Abby's Angels is a rescue dedicated to the forgotten, often medically challenged, abused and unwanted furbabies. Emaciated bodies are slowly brought back with refeeding and intensive care by a dedicated foster. Miracles are made and dogs near death are returned to health and a happy life. For the few who, even with all the veterinary care possible, cross over the bridge they leave knowing they have been loved so much. The fosters are given training and everything needed to care for their charge including food, medications, toys, blankets, treats and more. Dogs go to a foster never knowing a home or love and leave to their forever an entirely different dog. Dogs receive all their vaccinations and are spayed or neutered. Adoptees are intensively vetted to assure a good match. There is a dedicated group of volunteers and supporters who answer the call for emergencies requiring financial outlays or just monthly costs of vet bills. I adopted my Delaney January 15th. She was a breeding female from a farm and had lived in a barn. Abbys got her in November. She's now the happiest most wonderful havapoo ever. At least in my opinion. Her fears are fading away and her life as it should have always been is happening now all because of Abbys Angels. This is a rescue with a huge heart, no dog is too damaged, operates on a virtual shoe string and yet creates a miracle every day.

I have been a vet tech for 30 years and have worked with Amanda from PLP at the hospital for years. Since recently retired I have chosen to volunteer and foster with them. I just love how the rescue is managed. If there is a problem or question w a foster she will text back immediately and we work things out All paperwork is organized wonderfully. PLP doesn’t just rescue the cute and young dogs. In fact most of them are older dogs with issues and need medical work. All that is seen too in a timely fashion. There adoption fee is also one of the lowest I have seen Too sum it up I am proud to be associated with PLP rescue Thank you

PLPR is a Pomeranian and small breed dog rescue based out of Lebanon, PA.  Our board is comprised of seasoned rescuers who all have the goal of saving dogs and providing them with the best care possible.   We save the abused, neglected, and abandoned from shelters, puppy mills, and owners who can no longer keep their pets. Our rescue is not a shelter and all our dogs are kept in foster homes where they are treated like family until their forever home is found.  PLPR provides all vet care our dogs need. This includes a vet exam, fecal, Accuplex, core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distempter, and Bordatella), microchip, bloodwork and x-rays if needed, spay or neuter, and dental. We also ensure that our dogs receive the best care possible which sometimes includes specialist visits and costly diagnostics or surgeries. PLPR relies on the support of our community and followers to provide the care our dogs need to be healthy and live their best life.

    All 4 Paws Rescue

    Philadelphia

All 4 Paws Rescue is a non-profit, foster-based, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Malvern, PA that offers rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary to animals in need. Our goal is to offer each and every one of these animals a safe, permanent and loving home. All 4 Paws Rescue was founded in May, 2009. Since inception, All 4 Paws Rescue has saved over 15,000 needy animals and continues to grow and save lives daily. For most of the animals rescued by All 4 Paws, we are their last chance. Many reside in shelters that are not even open to the public but are instead holding facilities where the animals go to die. Many come from commercial breeding facilities that throw them away like trash when they are no longer useful for breeding purposes or not fit for sale. Puppies, purebreds, family pets - these are animals you would never expect to end up in these horrible situations but it is a sad reality. Through our extensive rescue network, All 4 Paws has developed relationships nationwide that allow us to save countless lives that would otherwise have been ended. As a foster based rescue, our animals live in homes with our families and our personal pets so we are able to learn a great deal about them and work on preparing them for their forever home. There is no greater feeling than releasing these wonderful animals into a safe yard and watching them run and play as they should. They sleep curled up in soft beds in our homes when hours before they laid on concrete floors. They feel grass beneath their feet when many have never experienced the outdoors. Having never known freedom or a full belly, they are so very thankful. This is why we at All 4 Paws Rescue do what we do - because they all deserve a home.

This is the little rescue that could! I have been volunteering since July 2023. This rescue is 100% volunteer run and 100% donation funded. They have an amazing group of volunteers who show up everyday without fail to care for the approximately 12 dogs they house. There are shifts throughout the day and many volunteers foster and take the dogs out for doggy day out. Every penny matters and they are continually coming up with fundraising ideas. Many volunteers pay for things out of their own pockets. Every volunteer knows each dog and everything about them. They genuinely love each dog.

We are a group of dog-loving volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters and puppy mills, as well as dogs in other unfortunate circumstances. We are not a shelter; thus, we have no central location or physical facility to house the dogs we rescue. It is through volunteer foster homes, mostly located in the Greater Philadelphia, PA Region, that we can provide homes for the dogs in our care. Our dogs remain in foster homes until they are matched and adopted into their forever families. In doing this, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of breeder and pet store dogs as well as prevent unwanted dogs from entering the overwhelmed shelter system. Since 2008 we have rescued over 20,000 dogs.

    FurKid Rescue

    Pittsburgh

Furkid is a foster network rescue meaning all of our rescues are temporary members of our families. Our fosters can give you insight into the personality and needs of our FurKids because they are in our homes, versus you meeting them in a stressful environment where they haven't had a chance to let their fur down and their true personalities shine through. We officially started in 2008 rescuing Pit Bulls because they needed to be rescued the most. However over the years with the increase in puppy mills and backyard breeders, we have become an all-breed rescue because we want to save all dogs. We don't discriminate. We take dogs that other rescues won't. We have rescued and rehabilitated pups starved from the brink of death, pups with parvo who were given almost no chance, dogs who have been shot, dogs with disabilities or mange that are deemed undesirable, or not worth saving. We rescue elderly dogs left on chains for the majority of their years, puppies with minutes to spare before being euthanized for no reason other than no one is paying attention. We love and rescue them all. Please understand that we do not have a physical location. We try to give our animals the best foster experience possible, not only for their comfort, but to implement positive reinforcement training methods and to make sure they are getting the best care imaginable. We work on a volunteer basis and this rescue work takes time away from our families, friends, and pets. Our strength to continue rescuing animals comes from finding one of our adoptable dogs a forever home where they will be loved, cherished and treated as a member of the family. It is those moments that make our hearts full and give us the drive to continue.

We are an all breed dog rescue, founded in 2008 in Southampton, Pennsylvania. Wet Nose Rescue is a 100% foster based rescue meaning that while we have an adoption center, we do not kennel dogs there. Home at Last Dog Rescue

Home At Last Dog Rescue (HAL) was founded in North Wales PA, in 2008 as an all age, all breed, dog rescue. HAL is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Our group rescues Dobermans in the PA, NJ & Delaware region. We have also helped to place other Dobermans by referrals. We supply food, shelter and medical care to Dobermans in our program until a forever home can be found. Dogs come to us from local shelters and owners that can no longer care for their dog. The dogs in our program are housed in foster homes and boarding kennels. Most of our rescues are happy, healthy Dobermans that require little medical attention besides routine vaccinations, spaying or neutering. We also handle special needs Dobies in our program. All of our Dobermans are adopted to approved applicants after a home visit has been completed and vet references are checked. We work on matching dogs and owners based on the personality of the dog and the desires of the adopter. All of our rescues are spayed or neutered before being placed.

Nirvana was amazingly supportive as we fostered a puppy. They provided everything and anything we needed to be successful. When we became “foster failures” & decided to keep our puppy, all of the paperwork was completed thoroughly and quickly. Nivana provides great foster support physically, with events and as well as through social media. Nirvana will do all that is necessary to have a rescued dog be at its highest potential for adoption. I will not go anywhere else for our next adoption.

I have been a volunteer for 4 years at Canine Rescue of Central PA. We are a non- kill shelter that takes pride in how we take care of our dogs. We have a great group of volunteers that care about the wellbeing of our dogs. We have a training committee that works with dogs that come in to train them and teach them manners. I am on the board which gives me a voting right saying what goes on with the dogs. We have a great turnover of dogs that are adopted monthly. We are completely volunteer and we have many fundraising events to benefit the dogs. We have a great relationship with other rescues in order to help them out if they are too full and we can take some of their dogs. I very much enjoy being part of this rescue.

I have adopted 4 dogs from Peace, Love and Poms. The Rescue spends as much time as needed evaluating and treating the dog, both medically and behaviorally, prior to listing for adoption. They conduct thorough adoption interviews and strive to match the dog with the appropriate adopter. The Rescue maintains contact with the adopter to ensue a successful outcome. ABOUT US Welcome to LaMancha Animal Rescue. Since 2005, we have been a qualified public charity under IRS section 501(c)3. LaMancha maintains a forty-five acre facility for rescuing dogs, cats, pigs, goats, horses, and the occasional exotic animal that requires more space or specialized knowledge than most SPCAs can offer. We have two heated and air-conditioned kennels for dogs, each dog is housed in a run where they have indoor/outdoor access. There is a heated and air-conditioned building dedicated to cats, which is free range, no cages. LaMancha is staffed primarily with volunteers, we currently have an active list of approximately two hundred. These volunteers care for the animals, exercise the dogs, either on walking trails, or large exercise fields. We try and take in the harder-to-place dogs, that wouldn't have a good chance to be adopted in public shelters. We have gained a reputation for saving and rehoming Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, known in North America as the Great Pyrenees. These large dogs are known for their gentle temperament as well as their independent streak. When you visit LaMancha, the famous white dogs of LaMancha are usually amongst the first to greet you.

    All 4 Paws Rescue

Dalis to the Rescue is a wonderful rescue in Alma, Mi. Davis, her hubby and daughters, staff, supporters, volunteers, and friends come together to rescue thousands of animals each year. Dalis has even added spay and neuter clinics in her own rescue to help solve so many unwanted animals being born as well as using vets in the surrounding area. The Pawsitive Prison Dog program has helped train many dogs that has not only helped the dogs but also the prisoners. The rescue is always full to the brim and the animals are well taken care of. Dalis has her "Naughty Crew" that she hauls around in a bus. These are dogs that no one wanted. Some even have to be carried because they have difficulty walking. She takes them into schools to educate kids on spaying and neutering and properly taking care of animals. On top of that Dalis grooms dogs. Also want to mention her dedicated foster families. Always ready to help. I could go on and on. This IS the best rescue in Mi. and the U.S!
  • FurKid Rescue Logo

    FurKid Rescue
